Hi everone, does anyone know the actual bullet G 1. Bc of this bullet i think i read that its. ..7 somthing .. if someone knows that would be great i wana run a G1 number through a couple of programs i got. Thanks.

Stepped G1 for Berger 300g, 338 cal., Hybrid OTM:

0.854 at 3000fps and above (lower velocity limit of 3000fps)
0.8435 at 2500-3000fps (lower velocity limit of 2500fps)
0.827 at 2000-2500fps (lower velocity limit of 2000fps)
0.788 at 1500-2000fps (lower veloctiy limit of 1500fps)
0.755 at 0-1500fps (lower velocity limit of 0fps)

Much easier to use a program like Shooter and use G7 although stepped G1s are probably good to out to 1200+ yards, which covers the vast majority of shooting. G7 for this bullet probably good for out to a mile+. From there Bryan's Applied Ballistics program that computes trajectory based on your actual measured drops can take over. This from my take on the 'general consensus' that I've read here at LRH.com. Go with Shooter and G7s if you can--probably the best setup for 90% of us.

I ran 2 separate ballistic curves in my G7 rangefinder for the same load for my .338 EDGE. One using G1 b.c. and one using G7. They both call for the same adjustments within a few hundreths out to 1400 yards. Gary
