So far it's great! Clear, great clicks, good eye relief and eye box, awesome reticle. My biggest complaint is that when you press the turrets back down to lock them on mine you have to move both of them around very slightly in order to push it all the way down in the locked position. I haven't used it a lot yet though.

Thanks for the feed back on that optic, I can visualize what your saying very clearly.

Well I shot the match and the rifle did really good. Me on the other hand did ok at best. I hit 12 out of 20 targets and my longest hit was 969yds and the farthest target was 1070(+ or -)yds. This was my first match and I caught myself making mistakes like not watching my bubble level, bad shooting positions, and not making wind calls. The rifle had no problems other than some blow back from the suppressor making the ammo dirty which didn't effect anything really. 1st stage I hit 2 of 5 targets, 2nd stage I hit 2 of 5, 3rd stage I hit 4 of 5, 4th stage i hit 4 of 5. As you can tell once I started to settle down I made more hits.

Sounds like fun, I guess you know you need to practice your stress shooting. Bring your wife to the range and have her yell and belittle you while you shoot that should fix it. If you can focus through that you might just win next time.

What ammo where you shooting?

I got slight high pressure signs but nothing crazy. Gerrardstown, Wv at Peacemaker national training center

Man that's scary to me, be safe and at least consider switching loads. Speed is not worth the safety factor. I have had good luck with the LR118 round from LC in my M1A they prints raged holes at 200M. That scope your running has a lot of internal adjustment (27 mils) so a small reduction in speed should not cause you to run out or drop.

Just remember that using a suppressor increases the gas volume in your barrel. The bullet still exits the barrel at the same point (crown). But it still increases the amount of time the gas is in the barrel and can. This results in more back pressure and more forceful operation of the bolt (the ips speed of your BCG increases). Which in turn may overload your weapons safety designs. You may be able to slow it down with a heaver buffer but I don't know if that will reduce chamber pressure, my guess would be no.

I suppose the whole reason I am mentioning this is every time you pull the trigger on that load it takes its tole in the from of stress on your Bolt. Real glad to see other AR shooters here and I want you to stay around here so be safe, and keep posting about that nice rifle.

I'm no expert but I know there are more than a few 300 saum/wsm ar's out there so slight high pressure signs from 308win aren't too scary to me.

Those rifles have different gas port sizes, gas system lengths, buffer and spring weight combinations to account for the added volume of gas. I understand why you said that, but its not really comparable. Thanks for discussing this with me.

Good luck in your next match sounds like a real good time.

Jon

PS. I looked up that range you mentioned what a super place to live buy.
