I need 2 know where to start my loads and what the highest charge is ?

The powder I will be using is H4350
Bullet 150 Match King

I have an older sierra load data book but it doesnt list the 150's .
Thanks for your helpgun)

For what it's worth, I haven't got any info with H4350, but this is what I have with IMR 4350. It's a old load with a 160 sierra game king-64grn,IMR 4350,CCI 250 mag primer,WW brass. Should get you to around 3000fps. I don't shoot 150 grn bullets, but this might give you some referance. Also another load that my 7mag likes is 71grn of H-1000 same everything else, also this is in my old gun with a 24 in barrel. I have another 7mag(model 700 PSS) that loves H-1000 an 180 Bergers. Sierra makes a great bullet, I've shot them for years. As far as the load data,if you use 4350 you might want to start with about 61grns and work your way up. See what your rifle likes. It might like differant powders also. H-1000, Retumbo, SC 4831. Hope this helps.

Thanks for he reply Mr. Tinsley . I have retumbo and H-1000 on the bench.

You are welcome sir. I've just started working a load using Retumbo, really haven't got any data yet. But from what it's looking like, I think that it's gonna be a shooter. I will say this, I have only seen (since it come out) very few 7mags that did not like H-1000. But that's why we reload, to see what works an what doesn't. Many years ago,I had a old gunsmith tell me that when it comes to reloading, you can't be hardheaded! I've never forgotten that. That was some of the best advice I've ever gotten. Hope this helps an good luck with your load.

Besides the 7mm STW, the 7 mag is my all time favorite round. Very SHOOTABLE, accurate, easy to get to shoot, and they hammer game. Like Dick said, " H1000" is a great " go to" powder. It really works well with heavy bullets, and 26 inch barrels. My 700P loves that powder, and 168 Bergers .
I have a 700 LSS that loves 67.5-h 4831sc, and a 140 TSX. I use a win. WLR standard primer. In a 7 mag, you do not have to use a mag primer. IMHO.

As far as what is the max load, your gun will be the deciding factor on that. It will tell you when enough is enough.
I have never used H 4350, but have heard good things about it from others. The field is full of options as far as powders, bullets, brass, and bullets. The seven is a exceptional cartridge, and shoots amazingly accurate. And you won't burn out your barrel, before you find your load, but you must experiment.
