What size are the dots in a Bushnell mil-dot scope?

When looking at their info, it seems the dots are 1/2 mil in size. i can't imagine this is the case but it's how the dimensions add up. can anyone tell me what size their dots and reticle thickness are?

You're right.

1 mil between dot centers, .5 mil dot diameter, .5 mil between dot edges.

LOL! I was just looking at their site, on one part of it they have quoted "1 mil" click adjustments!!!

Nothing like 3.6 inches at 100 yds! LOL!

I have the Bushnell Elite Tactical Illum FFP 6-24X, it is 1/10 Mil per click and the Mil Dots are not 0.5 mils in size, but they are 1 mil center to center

thanks for the picture, it shows exactly what i wanted to see. i knew they weren't one mil in size, but i'm judging them by the picture and i would say they are way over 1/2 moa dot, maybe as big as .75 moa in size. it's what i don't particularily like about mil dots. they are just too big. why didn't they make them with little lines instead? seems to me it would be better. i'm sure it's a military thing.

I think those dots are .25 mil, which would be about .86 moa. (hard to see in the picture because of photo quality)

Other companies make a lot of different reticles, including ones like you were hoping for with the fine lines.

I just measured the dot subtension relative to the full mil in that picture and it looks to me that they're using a .25 mil dot system for the dot sizes (.25x3.6=.9"). Can't be sure if that's exactly right, but if it is that means their using a bastardization of the old USMC oblong mil-dots that were designed to break the mil. unit down into eighths instead of tenths with the US Army round .2 mil-dot. Here's how it works--

FYI, I called Bushnell today as I had this question, and a knowedgeable guy told me they use the MC version...asst least for the scope I'm considering.

The dots dont look oblong, look like my Leupold which are .20. Think it would be easy to get info

Well...I'm not sure I got anywhere. This is what I finally got out of someone in there tech dept via an email:

He tells me in the email that this is what he was able to give me because of a "loophole" in their policy because he couldn't send me the actual document. I expected more, as may companies freely share their subtensions. I'm a little miffed, and not sure if it's even the right info. I requested info based on a specific scope I'm thinking of buying and this doesn't match up with what one looks like in a youtub video...I don't know...I'm a bit frusterated.

Round dots ARMY mils, foot balls are USMC, looks like ARMY mils to me. FWIW I ditched the mil dot for the TMR, no dots just lines, leupold, Nightforce, US Optics etc all offer the lines. Then I went to Horus grid, trying to ditch the TMR now.
