Got this guy the second day of Missouri rifle season. I passed him up quite a few times last year hoping he would make it through or come back by when I had my bow in hand. Glad he made it another year, he grew about 30'' from last year

That's some impressive antler opie!!

Great buck. From the pic it looks a little like where I used to live around Audrain county. I'm down south with the hills and hollers now....lol.

Congrats on that dude!

Congrats on a plan well thought out young man. If only more would think as you do.

Awesome buck!! and well deserved. Congrats!

Jeff

Broz, I couldn't agree with you more, One or two more years will do wonders!
Its a shame most people don't feel the same way

Wow, look at the mass! What did he gross?
I hunted north of Chillicothe around Chula for 5 or 6 years and never saw anything approaching that buck. Of course, I don't think I ever saw older than a 3.5 year old.

Ya there are some big deer around here, They just got to have a chance to grow

Nice one, he's got big mains. That is a big problem around here (alabama, tennessee). They won't let anything grow, just shoot whatever moves. I am on the state line and found it is worse for alabama. The hunters don't have to check in any deer they shoot, so they blast away at everything. There is no population control by doing that.

The one I hit with my semi was bigger lol...I wasn't far from Chillicothe then eather...I live up in Queen City.....we have the problem of if its got head gear its dead regardless how big. And you don't pass on a decent buck cause chances are you'll never see it again..alive that is....nice buck anyway man!

Outstanding, most really have no idea the transformation that a whitetail goes through from its 4th year to its 5th and 6th year of age, totally different animal, smarts wise and antler size wise.

Congrats for not pulling the trigger until it was time. I hunted a 5x6 on my property all year, saw him a 1/2 dozen times, just not quite there, I am hoping like you did that he will make it through till next year and he will be a stud.

Again, great attitude about hunting and great buck.
