OK guys, I've decided to have a friend of mine load me up some 208 AMAX's for my 308 to see how they shoot. After doing some reading I'm going to use RL17 inside Winchester brass with CCI primers. The rifle that I'm going to be shooting these from is a Savage 10FP with a 22" barrel in a 1:10 twist. It has a factory chamber. I'm going to buy enough supplies to do 100 rounds so I wanted to get some opinions on loads that have worked well out of your rifles. Any details about the rifle and load is greatly appreciated. Thanks

My advise (not trying to be rude) do not load bullets that are only .436" shorter than the trimmed case your trying to shoot them out of, atleast get a 300wm.

No offense taken. Guys have been getting good results with the 308 and 208 AMAX and I have no need for a magnum caliber rifle at this time.
