It's a good video, I've signed their petition, but I would like to know what if anything they are doing. I haven't been able to find anyone that is involved enough to speak for their group. Anybody know how to contact these folks, do they have meetings etc.. Not criticizing glad everybody is doing something.

Good video and a good quick way to educate those who aren't.
My understanding is that BGF is working directly with congress to help get sponsors for the bill to delist the wolves and give permanent management rights to the states. They are also the first organization that has designed a way for us to e-mail our opinions and concerns directly to congress and other officials with very little effort. The petition is an example of this.

I don't know who put out the video, but they are so full of BS, that there eyes are brown!
The wolf was part of the country long before white man set foot on the North American continent.
The wild life thrived until white man started to slaughter them. Some how somebody came up with the idea that the wolves were the problem. They also said that wolved were attacking humans ( BULL) so in the next 100 and some years white man tried to eradicate the wolves forever from the states.
Wolves help control the wildlife herds by taking the old, sick and crippled animals!
All you have to do is look at Yellow stone Park, it's thriving with wild life!!lightbulb

3) Elk in Yellowstone are thriving with wolves present.
Given the logic one can only conclude these aren't wolves, what are they then? Can I consider them targets of opportunity if they are a hybrid invasive species?
Most of the romantic wolf myth hype has been put to rest, but there remain the true believers plugging their ears, closing their eyes, and hollering BS.
Sometimes the only thing tougher than learning something, is unlearning it when the facts on the ground stare you in the face.

Winter Count Shows Decline In Northern Elk Herd Population

Wildlife biologists say increased predation, ongoing drought, and hunting pressure all contributed to a decline in the northern Yellowstone elk population from 1995 to 2010.
The annual aerial survey of the herd conducted during December 2010 resulted in a count of 4,635 elk, down 24 percent from the 6,070 reported the previous year. There has been about a 70 percent drop in the size of the northern elk herd from the 16,791 elk counted in 1995 and the start of wolf restoration to Yellowstone National Park.
Predation by wolves and grizzly bears is cited as the major reason for the decline in elk numbers. Wolves in northern Yellowstone prey primarily on elk. Also, predation on newborn elk calves by grizzly bears may limit the elk population's ability to recover from these losses.
Drought conditions experienced during the early 2000s appear to have impacted the nutrition and abundance of forage, and may have lowered reproduction rates in some elk.
The number of permits issued for the antlerless Gardiner Late Elk Hunt declined from 1,102 in 2005 to just 100 permits during the 2006-2010 seasons. The late season hunt was eliminated altogether for 2011.
The number of grizzly bears seen on the northern range during elk calving season has decreased slightly in recent years. Also, the wolf population on the northern range inside Yellowstone National Park has dropped from 94 wolves in 2007 to 37 wolves in 2010. Biologists suspect predator numbers may be responding somewhat to the decline in the elk population.
Biologists expect the reduction in the number of wolves and the elimination of the late season hunt will result in some increase in the elk population.
The Northern Yellowstone Cooperative Wildlife Working Group will continue to monitor trends of the northern Yellowstone elk population and evaluate the relative contribution of various components of mortality, including predation, environmental factors, and hunting.
The Working Group was formed in 1974 to cooperatively preserve and protect the long-term integrity of the northern Yellowstone winter range for wildlife species by increasing our scientific knowledge of the species and their habitats, promoting prudent land management activities, and encouraging an interagency approach to answering questions and solving problems.
The Working Group is comprised of resource managers and biologists from the Montana Fish, Wildlife, & Parks, National Park Service (Yellowstone National Park), U.S. Forest Service (Gallatin National Forest), and U.S. Geological Survey-Northern Rocky Mountain Science Center in Bozeman.

I wish I had a PR agent as good as old Farley. Some of the other myths like only the Alpha male and female do the breeding. In Yellowstone they have recorded 3 females in the same pack bearing young. Single females raising pups have also been observed. So the
continued shoving down our throat of so many "breeding pairs" isn't science it's somebodies agenda. They're dogs to a great degree she's a "bitch in heat" or he's a "dog" have all become part of the language for a reason.

It's finally confirmed wolves killed that woman in Alaska, other countries pre-Farley and his cronies have credible records going back a century plus of wolves killing humans. How many more were there that there wasn't anything left to find.
