I just got home from a week long elk hunt in SW CO with three great friends. The first four days of this hunt were pretty grim, then we were on them. Wed morning I was a little slow getting my *** out of camp, as it was just another day of glassing 1000's of acres without seeing s$*%. The weather was cold and my friend who was not hunting felt good about this day.

So we started our hike. About 30min into it my friend stops in his tracks and is waving to get down, he saw something move and immediatley started glassing. At this point we had been hualing up this mtn and I was huffing. He said "Take your time and get ready." In about thirty seconds I was ready. He said shoot the second one from the left. I lasered him 420yds adjusted my greybull scope and sent the 200g accubond. The elk dropped like a bag of hammers! Although a longer shot would have been nice, I am not complaining.

After all we were pretty succesful. Two bull elk, and one really nice buck.

All three animals were taken with accubonds. The first 200g 300rum 420yds, the second 180g 300win 590yds, the third 200g 300rum 720yds. They are quickly becoming my favorite. Although curious about 210g bergers, but alittle worried about performance and bull elk. This is a pic of the damage from my bull (the first pic).
