Has anyone had any experience with this cartridge? I would like to hear your opinion on it.

I can get the brass made and am considering it for a new build.
 
Hello, I had this caliber and I can say that is excellent... I have also develop some loads for long and close range hunting...

Welcome to the forum.
Maybe you could post some of your load data.
I would find it very interesting to hear what sort of performance you achieve with this old cartridge and modern slow powders.
 
Ok, I will post the load data tomorrow, because i am at work today an my log book is at home...

I can tell you as i remember, that I used two versions...

1. 11,5g RWS ID wich was zeroed at 100m and was good for shooting deers and wild boars at close range
2. 10,5g RWS ID wich was 4cm up of 11,5g bullets and I used this load for shooting up to 400m

As I sad tomorrow i will post my load data...
 
Oh i forgot, that I have also the Rotweill reloading book in wich it is listed also 7x66...
I will send you also a copy of this, but it is in german...

Hm, I can't find my rotweill book, probably i have loan it to a friend, as soon as i get it back, i will post a copy for this cal.
