Twist rate may bite your rear on that one, Lazzeroni's load data for the Titan is with a 1-12" twist rate which leads me to believe that is what his rifles are bbl'd with, 300grainers are best launched out of at least 1-10 (YMMV).
I do have & use to great success a Lazzeroni Patriot (rem 700), do you have one? Or just looking for data?

I bought a reamer super cheap, but after hearing a lo of bad things about the brass I think it will make a heck of a good pre-reamer for a 338 Lapua.
The beauty of the Lapua is quality cases from 4 different manufactuerers.
A friend here in Australia AI'd his Lapua to keep the brass from growing. I think I would rather just shoot it the way it is.
Not looking for a Lapua improvement, just thought the 338 Lazz would be a good deal. I don't like drama in shooting, I try very hard to keep it out of my life and one more negative impact isn't going to help.

The only down side to the brass is cost, at $2.00 ea it's not cheap, other than that, i've had little trouble with it. Decent consistancy (i do have to weight sort) & it seems to be well made, I have LOTS of firings on several cases w/o any trouble. If you're going to have one built, (to state the obvious
) you can pick any twist you want.... that big ol' case should really spit them 300grainers...

I have been shooting my Lazz' for years, it seems there were some changes made in the brass manufacturer, I have brass with 2 different sizes of head stamp, (the letters are bigger) I just found this literally this week. I am still testing to determine if there are any internal differences, since you will most doubtedly be buying new brass, you should have no trouble with this issue.

I really need to do more research. The thing keeping me away from the Edge, Norma, and 338 RUM is the lack of more than one manufactuerer for brass. Now that Nosler is making RUM brass it might be worth looking into, but the 338 Lapua is easy.
I have owned several 340 Weatherbys over the years and until this new Nosler brass came a long it has been a real bastard to keep fed. As 340 Weatherby brass has not always been available.
I have enough bastard rifles like the 9.3x64 and 8x68 Schuler, that more drama with something that is going to get used a lot doesn't really interest me.
For a long time my only qualifier on new rifle cartridges was weather or not RWS made brass. I am a little more open to other brands, but still would prefer if RWS made everything.

I don't think you want to run that reamer through your barrel with the intintions of following it up with a lapua reamer. There is way less body taper in the titan than the lapua. I think you could do it the other way around though.
I have a 6.53 scramjet and a 8.59 titan. The brass for the scramjet is way better than the titan brass. On never fired brass for the titan you could prime 4 out of 40 of my cases and tap them on the bench and get the primers to fall out. I called lazeroni about it and talked to Jim lazeroni and he did nothing but argue with me. I hung up on him cause he got quite rude. I then sent John lazeroni an Email telling him about the four cases and how his brother was and he sent me an email back that said sometimes his brother doesn't get along with people.
I got those two guns when I was starting to shoot longer ranges. I think since you have not built the gun yet you would be better off selling the reamer and getting something with better quality brass.

Your post is actually saddening, Lazzeroni has (IMHO) a wonderful product & to treat your customers like that is hogwash (to keep it polite). I'm sure I wouldn't let my employees interact with my customers if that was happening, brass that is over $2.00ea should come with customer service that is equal to the price of the product. Starting to get irritated just thinking about it...
P.S. with the Lazz' brass on your 2 rifles, have you noticed any difference in the stamping sizes on the head of the case? As my previous post stated, I actually have 2 different sizes of stamps on my cases, i'm guessing older cases & newer cases. I can say the new cases are proving to be just as strong but I'm darn nervous there may be differences in the brass & I won't be able to mix them.... more testing will tell!

He tried to be a modern Roy Weatherby, biggest difference is Lazzeroni owns a electronics company so his rifle outfit doesn't have to be a big money maker.

you also seem to be into this ballistics stuff ,,,, so please run the numbers and compare the Lazzeroni Titan, shooting our factory loaded 185gr LazerHead load, 3,580 fps with a bullet BC of .437, to the 338 Lapua, shooting it's best 300gr VLD load, in time of flight, and total drop from bore line, to 1,000 yards ,,,,,, might surprise you ,,,,

what brand/model of primers were you inserting ? ,,,,
as far as John Lazzeroni coming off as rude once in a while, well, I talk to thousands of customers every year, for both of my businesses, and there have been a few instances of two people not seeing eye-to-eye on something ,,,,,

Something I've noticed about Lazzeroni, from what I can tell you don't sponsor a hunting show. In today's world of everybody & their brother has a hunting show, anybody who's anybody sponsors one. John, are you feeling left out? Cause I sure am!

John, I'm not knocking you or your rifles at all. From what I have heard you build some fine rifles. The only real negative I have heard is they tend to be barrel burners, but oh well, that is the the price we pay for speed.
I will disagree that it is the biggest baddest 338 out there. A 338/378 or 338 Khan will match your stated velocity with a 185 grain bullet. A 338 Allen Mag will hit 3500 with a 300 grain pill. I rather suspect it might run close to 4000 with that little 185.

anyone can overload the 338/378 WBY to make it faster than the Titan & anyone can find a bigger hunk of brass, and neck it down to 338 to make it fast ,,,,
what I talk about are factory loaded cartridges firing at a sammi spec, maximum-average-lot-mean pressure of 66,900 PSI ,,,,,,
take the 338/378 WBY Mag, and put it against the Lazzeroni Titan with identical barrel lengths and bullet weights ,,,, you will see what I mean ,,,,
and the Titan does not have the useless big belt either which can cause mag-box or feeding issues in certain rifles ,,,,
