has anyone tried to get shooting up/down hill put into the stickies?

i am trying to learn more about it, but it is hard to find good diagrams online, if those here would indulge me, i would much appreciate a group effort for diagrams, and anyone to put in their knowledge!

here's my first contribution: exterior ballistics

i couldn't see the diagram, and couldn't conceptualize properly without them.

thanx guys!!

mods thanx for all other help aswell.

has anyone used an angle cosine indicator out to 1000 yards? if so, i've noticed that they are in 5* increments, wouldn't that make quite a bit of difference at that range?
what if the pin falls between two numbers and one is not good at estimating?

At 1k, everything counts. With rocks and paper, you can walk your shot in. But for hunting, it could be hit, miss, or wounding depending on your target and how crude you were with all of your other inputs/calculations.

Also, it becomes increasingly significant at steeper angles. Run your trajectory curve with 0, 5, 40 and 45 degree incline settings and look at your 1,000 yd elevation MOA and bullet drop.

The difference between a 0 and 5 degree incline for 7mm RM at 1k is an inch or 2 less bullet drop.

The difference between a 40 and 45 degree incline for 7mm RM at 1k is nearly 10 inches worth of drop. ...although, that does seem like an extra steep angle for a 1k shot.

In actuality, it's probably easier to interpolate between markings than it is to read the wind and gather all of the other inputs.

45 would seem steep for 1k, but you proved exactly my point. idk why a company would make an item like this without hash marks or something at least.

at least the only ones i've found don't have them
