Looking to purchase a new 4.5x14, Zeiss conquest or Leupold VX-3. How is the tracking on the Zeiss, never owned one before? Planning on replacing the turrent with one from Kenton Ind. regardless of the scope i choose.

To me the zeiss is much better and I have owned many of both. Better glass, better tracking, etched reticle. The tracking is great on the zeiss

I have several of each, its hard for me to choose one because I love them both. Just pick the one you are most attracted to and you will never look back. Both are great options

why not get a PST. Glass is better then the lupy, but a little lower then the conquest. Doesn't need the turrets unless you have a drop chart and want custom turrets. A little more then the lupy, a little less then the conquest. It might be a little bit more in weight but for what it offers as well as there warranty is unmatched. Take a look. If not then id go conquest!

I have heard people say this but I dont buy it. better glass? how so? clearer? better coating? I have zeiss, leupold, high end leica Binoculars, you name it. I dont see a difference in my $3k Binos od mt $400 conquest or my $600 Leupold I truly dont think the human eye can detect a difference. and if you are saying you can see that the vortex is better than Leupold and not as good as Zeiss then you are really splitting hairs. If anything you are seeing coating tint and happen to like them in that order as far as clarity there is no way you are seeing that much difference.

I do however know there are color differences in each, to me leupold scopes look colorless and gold ring HD binos seem orangish as do Swarovoski EL's But my dad uses the Swaro EL's and doesnt see the tint that I THINK I see. So Maybe thats it

For clarity they are same so again.. pick what you like best.

I have 3 NFX, cant count all the leupolds. I was needing one for a backup gun for Co. and was going to purchase a turrent from Kenton Ind. My buddy has a nice gun shop and sells a 4.5-14 zeiss conquest for $650.00 was thinking of trying it. Just wasent sure how they tracked and looking for opinions from someone who has one. Dont care for the extra weight of the Nf on this gun.

Your not going to get a better deal on a zeiss then that. Might as well grab it. Beautiful scope
I think i will. I tell my buddy he should advertise online. Any leupold scope under1k he is at least $75.00 min. cheaper than anyone company online. He has never owned a pc. Also he is a full time gun shop with around 200 guns in inventory.

That's not a bad price at all for that Conquest if it's NIB. It will easily outperform the Leupolds in that price range. Does it have knobs?

You can get the Kenton Turrets for Zeiss' too. You just have to send it in to Zeiss to have it fitted for turrets and then order your custom knob.
