Hi,
I'm considering getting the new Hornady L'n'L AP press and was wondering if Lee dies fit it. I've hear some RCBS dies are too short but nothing about Lee. I've got 30 sets of Lee dies that all work very well so I'm not willing to change die brands.

Thanks,
John

john- I had that press for a short while. I only ever used Lee 223 rem dies in it. I think you'll be ok.

I have had mine a long time. Haven't loaded any rifle round with lee dies, but I have loaded 357, 45, and 45 colt with lee dies on it. The changed the ejector a year or two ago from the wire. It used to would bottom out your seating die in the 5th hole. The new plate fixes the problem.

Hey John,
I just went through this with Hornady. I also have Lock and load bushings from Hornady. Hornady told me that the bushing are for their press. My Lee collet die is longer than my FL die, so the FL isn't long enough.

Lee told me that I can send back my Cast Press in exchange for the new press they have out that uses a similar bushing, there's no insert to thread in the press. The press have the "splines" machined in it already. You just need the bushings to thread on the dies. So I can get a new press and trade in my old one.... pretty good deal.
