I thought that rifle was an illegal firearm in the "Peoplez Republik of Kalifornia"? A friend of mine told me NOT to bring my Stag out there to go Coyote hunting, because it had a detachable magazine, and was considered an "assault weapon" by the "reigning Government of Kalifornia"? Sorry about bashing the state I grew up in, but it ****es me off that my 5 round hunting clip isn't good enough for the uber libs!! Nice rig though. Alsso have to agree with TREBARK on the Bud Lite….Not a good thing to have in the photo.

Hay Guys,
There are sum real works of art on this thread. I'm new to the centerfire game as I have only recently bought myself a medium cal centerfire in 6.5x55 (Will have to post sum snaps of it when it come back from my smithy). Most of my shooting has been .22 rimfire, so I have become adept at being sneaky and getting up close and personal. Head shooting goats up to 76 yrds, bunnys out to 156 yrds is, upto now, what I considered long range shooting. So I thought I'd post what I'm running. 1st up is my Ruger 10/22, Butler Creek 16 inch barrel, factory trigger has been lightened to 2.5 lbs, action has been cleaned up and smooth out so it slides like silk, light recoil buffer pad, lighter recoil spring (so it will cycle CCI subsonic), the suppressor is locally made. The scope is a Bushnell Trophy 3-9x40 with mil-dot. The bracket on the top is for a scope mounted LightFORCE Striker 140 @ 250,000 candlepower.
My second gun is for when I want to go old school.It's a Remington Target Master model 510, made in may of 1947, for an old rifle this thing can still shoot, best is a 3 round group at 50 yards measuring just 0.71 inchs off the bench.(Aim small, Miss small)gun)

Just to clear thing up a bit. The 3 round group I shot was at an indoor small-bore range, off a competition rest, using Remington Competition match ammo and I was having the Best Day EVER!!!! gun). The CCI subs are for round the house or chicken coop on our friends farm to target rats,stoats and ferrets. Almost all the extended range shooting is with CCI Velocitor or Stinger.

Thanks SpencerSS, I love the Rem 510. It keeps me honest, Cause if I miss, I know it wasn't the rifles fault. At $100, pound for pound on a level playing field, it would match my $1200 varmint Ruger 10/22 for grouping.
Most of us have our pet calibers we like and love to argue (in good spirits) why it's the best for what we do. That's why LRH is so great, It doesn't matter what caliber you shoot, or what you shoot it from. Were all here because we love the challenge and success of delivering that pill down range on target, each time, every time. To punch that paper, Ring that steel or fill the freezer. (*sigh* I need to get out more...)

Hi guys my first post here, this rifle is not what i normally use as varmint gun, but at the time it was all I had. One day I loaded some 75gr Vmax to 3900fps in my 275 WBY and thought I would try for a crow or three. Well I ended up with two that afternoon. the first one i hit was cut in two and got stuck in the tree no pic, with its innards wrapped around a twig, and the other half on the ground. The picture is the other one.
