here is a link to the most detailed discussion of the ladder/audette method of load development. the article is very long with pictures etc but well worth copying to word file and saving. Got more details than I knew. For example they discuss shooting a ladder (20 rds) to find seating optimum seating depth. Never thought of that.

Hello, BH

Thanks for the tech-post--it is much appreciated, for certain. As a point of fact, I'm on my way over to check it out now.

BountyHunter,
I would love to read the details on this ladder/Audette method, . . .
but I can't seem to get to the page. I get the following message:
"Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /l.moeller/Laddertest.htm on this server."

Can this be posted somewhere when I can get to it?

9 years after the first post I have no idea what the original article looked like, but when Googling "ladder test moeller" this is what comes up:

Barrel Vibrations, Ladder Test to develop Loads

Very nice!
I just glanced over this article quickly, and it appears to be just the sort of info I was looking for.

Between this and the Jason Barney article from 6mmBR.com, I think I'll have all the information I could want.

Thank you, Dr. Vette.
