Video of the Sako TRG 22 in 260 Remington with Hensoldt 4-16x56 NH1 scope, my first long range rifle. Received it last Friday, shot it on Saturday, and put together a quick video. Click on link below.

Enjoy!

That is a very nice rig. The video is very well done also. Welcome to LRH.com. Hope you stick around and share some more vids of that caliber (pun intended:D). How well was it grouping at 960yds?

Thanks Liltank.

I had mostly 2-3 inch groups at 550 yards. 960 yards was considerably more difficult as the winds kept shifting and I had no spotter. Given the lush surroundings I could not spot my misses, only my hits. Took a few rounds to get on target, would make several consecutive hits, until the winds changed again. The consecutive hits seemed to group around 6 inches. Should have put out a bigger target (only 15x25 inches) since I was solo with wind.

Sounds like a real shooter. Keep up the good work. Practice, practice, practice!

I'm his shooting partner, and I can vouch for that being one shaweet shooting rig!!! Easiest gun to shoot well I have ever had the privilege to squeeze the trigger on.

What lens did you use for the first parts of the video? I just ordered a 50mm 1.4 for my T1i - looks like you used one similar.

Thanks CRNA and Wildrose.

CRNA, you sure can shoot it!

Nomadpilot, I used a 30mm 1.4 and a 100mm macro for the non-shooting shots. For the bullet trace a 70-200 2.8 was used at 200 with the T2i 7x magnification mode. It pretty closely resembles the trace when viewed through a spotting scope.
