VX3 turret removal

Hey guys I have a vx3 4.5-14x40lr on my tikka 260. I am looking to get a custom turret made. I see on kentons website they say to remove the bottle cap to reveal the coin slot. I had a go at removing the "bottle cap" but was Paranoid about breaking something, does it pop off as easy as the website makes it sound? I just want to make sure it will fit before throwing $110 at them.

I have a vx3 with a m1 put on at the factory, but I kept the stock turret on the windage. I have a vx2 with stony point turrets the cap screws off counter clockwise and new turret screws on. Am I not understanding your post?

I,m sorry your right my vx3 windage is like the picture but my vx2 when the cover cap is removed exposes the sloted part. I think it would be worth trying to call for some tech support 1-800-538 7653 or (503)-526-1400 I,m not sure what # to get you to the US Sorry I,m not more help.
