Can the Tikka T3 be found anywhere in 243? T3 varmint in particular. Betting this would be a sweet shooter.

I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I have a Tikka T3 Super Varmint in .243.

Tikka T3 Super Varmint.

If you want to know just how good they shoot check this guys out.

I have a Tikka T3 Super Varmint too. It will group 80grain Berger Varmint bullets at .5" at 200yds all day long and 1" at 300yds.

They are an extremely accurate rifle if you get the loads right.

I took a long hard look at the tikka 243. It has some negative aspects. 1:10 twist rate and a 23 3/4 inch short barrel. I went with rem 700 1:9 1/4 twist and 26 inch bull barrel.

I just did some chrono work and I have over 3600 fps 75 gr hpbt and 3500 fps 80 gr spbt. Both of them are excellent varmint rounds. The bonus is that 100, 105, 107 gr also paper very well and would make a nice medium game round when shot at 3100 fps

Are those figures right ???

3500 for 80grainers seems very very fast.

I ran 80 Grainers Bergers at 3030fps

Just ran quickload and with the 80's 3400 seems to be about as quick as possible with a 26" tube.

What powder you using ???

barrel was cleaned every 10 shots we also have two identicle rifles and alternated with cool down time. Elevation @5000 feet

AA 2700 is just slightly faster than imr 4350 and h4350 here is another persons 80 gr load I don't use mag primers and moly coating requires a little more powder because you don't get the pressure

H4350 46+ Fed 210m 80 Berger Varmint 3550 fps Chino69 AI load. 1/4-MOA at 200. .010" into lands.
