Long range hunting with horses

Well it occurred to me that a lot of us use horses in out pursuit of game and I think we should have a section devoted to them. Both as pack animals and transportation.
Please share your pics experiences and if you have any animals for sale that would be good to know too.
Here are some pics of one of my old horses I sold him cause he was to much work to get moving dam appies

I have an old pict, not digital, of my friends lead horse, straddling the campfire. Went no more than 100 yrds next morning and came across elk carcass, with grizz tracks all over.We had camp set and friends brother wanted to leave, he slept with gun in his sleeping bag:D

THats a good story. How did he think he was going to get the rifle out in time
 
We told him, Dont shoot uslightbulbThe horses are pretty good alarm system in bear country. Another time we were camped at about 7000' and under a saddle, edge of large canyon. A grizz wanted to walk threw camp that night, horses let us Know about it.Cant see alot in pitch black with mini mag light , 2 aa size:cool:. Got a sure fire after that triplightbulb

in time the game will smell them horses and they are gone . I love hunting down wind of a horsey guide outfitter .... FROM BC THE BEST PLACE ON EARTH
