ordered brand new 10fcp hs, and finally got out to shoot it today. First 5 rounds were hard to extract after fired. All rounds chambered easily but required some "umph" on the bolt to get out. ammo was cheaper Remington umc 150 gr fmj.

also the chamber seems to be scuff/denting the shoulder of the brass.

pic of brass i chambered a few times to show shoulder dents. (mag was removed, softly loaded straight to chamber to rule out mag/ramp scratching.)

What does your primer look like ? (Picture would be great).

There are many things that could cause the scratches but the heavy bolt lift should be resolved
first and the primer will tel you if you have a pressure problem.

Thanks!!!

It doesn't look like you have a pressure problem so the issue must be in the chamber.

If you know someone that has a bore scope they could look the chamber over for you
to see if there is any rough spots or debris in it.

At least I would recommend having a gun smith look it over and checking head space.

I am reworking an ER shaw Savage barrel that had the same problems as you are having. The chamber had some gulling when it was cut, allowing the brass to flow into the imperfections and stick. You can either send it back to savage with your brass or have a gunsmith fix it which would probably be able to be fixed by setting the barrel back.
