My new replacement Vortex 6-24x50mm PST FFP MOA scope with all the updates was at my door this morning. I also bought the "Switchview Throw Lever" and the "30mm Bubble Level". I'll try to mount it today and sight it in tomorrow. Oops I almost for got that I have to install the custom turret and the zero stop.

I turned the turrets and they are definitely better than the first one.

"Aim small miss small", :D

Here is an update from the farm today.

The group at top right is 3/4" and the one in the black is 1+ 3/4". I have shot much better, but was in a hurry to get the custom turret zeroed at 200 yds. and it was VERY VERY windy and the powder charge is to hot and doesn't group as good as my other load.

Did I make enough "excuses" yet?

Here is the very first target I shot with the Custom turret at 400 yds. with the old PST scope:

PS: One bubble level is on the 20 MOA Picatinny rail and the other is on the scope. I'm planning on taking the bottom bubble off. I am also going to return the "Switchview Throw Lever" because I like how the power ring turns as is and I don't shoot in competition where it might be a help.

where did you get that bubble level that mounts on the picatinny rail? I have been looling allover for one

They aren't hard to find. ("B-Square" makes it) I'm not going to use mine any more and I'll sell it to you for $100.00  or you can get it at Midwayusa.com for $19.99.

My scope was to low for it to fit so I ground a notch in it so the scope didn't touch it.
VERY easy.

Joseph, I really like your Savage, is it a single shooter or did you manage to get a right-bolt-left-port repeater? I would like a dual port repeater, for loading on the right, but ejecting on the left side. That interests me a lot!

Anyway, how are you liking the new PST? I think I may buy one eventually. Did you use the medium rings or low?

Thanks. gun) -

Yes it is a Savage single shot Duel Port Target action.

I have Burris Extreme Tactical Low rings. You have enough room for Butler Creek flip ups.
