17 hmr scope

looking for a scope for a 17 hmr. remington custom shop 547 target. came with two 5 shot targets shot at 100 yd from factory, 5/8 and 1/2 in. barrel moved in stock to atribute to the side to side groups. had glass and piller bedded. want to shoot 100 to 250 yd varmits with it. what power range will work best and reticle?

some may laugh but on my lwr recoil rifes, 17HMR, 22LR, i use the simmons brand. i think it is the 44 mag version, or something simular. look for the ones that have the 1/8 moa adj. with my 17 HMR which is a older savage i upgraded the trigger with the sear from rifle basix. sweet.... on our fun range we shoot different things. Jello filled small water bottles, golf balls, ect. at 150 yrds, i can make a golf ball fly.... that is how we play golf.... have fun and enjoy...Bear.

The Nikon Buckmaster 6x18x40 with side focus and eather of three reticles that you like
will make a fine scope for the 17HMR.

They are priced around $350.00 and are worth the money.

I put the bushnell elite 3200 in 5x15x40 on mine. It works very well and it was like $330 or close to it.
