seating depth

i started building some m ore rounds for the 22-250,i get 5 or 6 at set depth then they start seating around 0.005 deeper,ive checked and thought everything was tight.any help is appriciated

well it's obvious that something's moving (I'm assuming that your measuring bullets at the ogive instead of the tips). First place I'd check would be for contamination around the shell holder, and also have a look see if the seater stem is loose inside the body. Whatkind of a die are you using to seat bullets with? Also by chance is your seater die loose in the frame?

im using rcbs dies and press.infact i just got new dies.barnes bullets are the worst for this
 
found it,not enuff clearance between die and seat

Been reloading for about 40 plus years and am still trying to figure out what that is - I've run into your situation a time or two and would really appreciate your re-explaining how you solved this problem.
 
sorry, was in a hurry to go shoot.i had the die screwed in too far.took time to adjust it right and be danged if it didnt work.
