When I lived in Hutch we would go to some private land west of Hutchinson, about 40 miles or so.
Just asked for permission. Small town 300-400 yard max distances.
I don't have anymore info than that.
There is also a nice pd town just north of Panhandle, TX (used to be anyway).
Again private land, just asked permission.
I do know of a guide near Devil's Tower (WY).
I can look up his info if you would like.
He has access to a number of towns, and I have shot at one of them near his lodge.

Kansas has plenty of dogs! Find a map and go, or get a guide for a day to show you where.

They are all over out in Colorado as well. There is different terrain in colorado. Heck I think I've even seen them in FT. Carson Area 
My wife and I used to live in Kansas. Its about 8hrs from Junction City area to Colorado Springs. Just for reference.

I use to have a location out in Paulina, but the ranch sold and I am out of a spot. I am looking for a closer spot to travel than Montana!

Fetch. Me a d a friend went a few years back to south Dakota. It was near Pierre. On the lower brule Indian reservation. I think the license was around $105 and the land owner only charged $20 for the week. And then we went to another property and we were told to just go ahead and hunt, no charge. We had dogs all day long. We had shots up to and including 700+yds. Had a blast. Good luck!

I live 45 minutes from Christmas Valley, they have 1,000's of acres of Alfalfa which has the Squeaks by the thousands. PM me for more info... I hunted in Nebraska, So Dakota,Colorado, Utah last year and have a lot of spots. The ranchers never denied me access when I found the dogs. Same old stuff, find a diner, open up with a few friendly faces and the next thing you know it's paydirt!
Yeah I was retired last year also. Just starting to settle in here again. Don't tell anyone here but shooting SQUEAKS is more fun than P-Dogs! more shots longer shots etc...harder they are smaller...
For those who have no clue where to find P-dogs let me post this again.. This is only for SD all the states that have P-Dogs have similar maps available...Tree hugging vegans make nice maps..

The belding's ground squirrels are called Squeaks, as they sit near their holes and squeak all day, high pitched squeaks when raptors or humans are near. Also the "Squeaky squirrel gets greased"?

Thanks, Gamehog. I have relieved several thousand of them from their life of "squeaks," but (believe it or not) have never killed a prairie dog. It would be nice for a change to be able to go after the larger targets presented by PDs. In April, I took out many, many juvenile ground squirrels (including one badger) in NE California, but they were about the size of a salt-shaker.
While staying a couple of days in a trailer park in Lubbock, Texas, on the way back from New Orleans on a motorhome trip in 2010, I was lucky enough to park next to an open area next to us that was full of PDs. They had no fear, and I was biting my nails because I had no firearm, no license, no permission to shoot, and had to just sit there and look at these varmints, while they thumbed their noses at me. At least I now know what they look like "in the flesh."

there aren't any prairie dog in washington. I live here. We have some rockhucks, and various groundsquireels but no pdogs. We've traveled to eastern Montana and rast central s dakota and been successful

You live in KS and want to hunt PDs somewhere else? I am coming to 10 Gauge Lodge to hunt them in KS ! He says he has access to a gazillion acres of them. It's just East of Dodge City.
But, if you want to go to S.D., look up Able Harmon's lodge near Winner. It's Prairie Highlands Lodge. His wife cooks THE BEST food you will ever eat! She's truly a chef, not a cook. Hunts are good too, but he got too pricey for me. I am already missing his place!

Prairie lsland lodge is a bit pricey @ $600 a day
Lots of prairie dogs on the RoseDUD Sioux Reservation.
Beware of hiring a Native Guide. He may have a brother
