Any one know who makes the stock on the Savage Weather Warrior series? The Savage web site says: "Black synthetic with positive checkering, dual pillar bedding." which sounds ok since it is pillar bedded.

Is it one of those hollow synthetic stocks like on a REM700 Stainless Synthetic BDL or is it more substancial?

I dont know who makes it but I have one. On a .300wsm. I had a new recoil pad intalled and the trigger tuned.

It is more flexible than that of the a-bolt; however, I have not noticed any accuracy problems with it...

Doesn't Choate make some "factory" stocks for Savage? I know they use the Varmint stock for the VSS, but I think they use other synthetic stocks from them as well.
