I need a 270 wsm load for 130 grain gmx

I am planning on using reloader 22 for my powder and CCI large rifle magnum primers. I am just wanting to know if anybody else has worked up a similar load? Do the GMX bullets show pressure faster than other bullets? Thanks

I don't have a 270 wsm, but I have loaded GMX bullets for my 300 win mag and 270 win. These bullets like a jump to the lands, I start with them at .100 off the lands and got got results. My 300 win got pressure signs early and with the 270 win I had no problems. So always star low and work up.

I loaded 130gn sierra gamekings in my 270wsm a couple years ago and found the accuracy node at about 65.5. This was prior to owning my chrono so I'm not sure what the velocity ran but it was plenty enought for the deer and random songdogs that came my way

I'd recommend seating them just off the lands and run a ladder test on them. This seems to be the easiest way to judge the barrel harmonics and find the accuracy node.

I didn't get the velocity I was hoping for with R22 and 270 WSM with 130gr Accubonds. IMR 4350 and R19 gave me the accuracy and velocity I wanted. I used Norma brass, CCI 250 primer in a Win mdl 70. Work up in .5gr incrmements. Lyman data was excellent.

H4350 is now my powder of choice as well.

I think it is very similar to IMR4350, but not exactly the same so different load work ups will be required

Lefty, I can calculate load for you and velocity. But need to know barrel length to figure out the barrel harmonics.
