Had some more bullets to test so I went up early yesterday morning to about 5200'. I thought I got up early enough but when it hits 100 the temps climb quickly in the mornings. It started out pretty descent but when the temps climb things all change quickly.

The first four pics are links to videos. Click on them and the video will come up.

This was at 935 yards.

This was a different batch, same rock, same range 935

Same rock, different batch of bullets, same range 935. This shows the visual impact of the range from where I was shooting. When it's zoomed all the way back you see what it's like to look over at the rock with your naked eye and no optics.

Later in the day, heat rising, different range and target. You will see it hit at the upper left corner of the white spot.

I had most of the stuff packed up and ready to leave and then thought I take picture of the shooting area.

Good shooting.
Did you build the bench yourself ? I like it . Is it heavy ?

Re: More bullet testing

I built it. I had a bigger version when I had a full sized pickup and just scaled it down for the Toyota to fit between the wheel wells. I love it. It's rock solid, adjustable with the chains in the center and doesn't move. You can stand on it and not hurt it. Never weighed it but I'd guess it's around 50-60 pounds.

Re: More bullet testing

When I first saw the bench I thought that you had done well to carry it up to 5200'! Then i had a reality check, must have driven up there. Great place to go shooting.
Nice shooting.

Dick,

Good video. Studied them several times.

That's a 338 AX, correct?

What's your process for posting Photobucket videos? I tried it the other day and all I got was a funny little square??????

I don't like having to go to youtube. I get way to distracted there.

Not a 338 AX Roy, it's still the 7mm AM and 200 grain Wildcats.

When I post videos from Photobucket I use the "IMG Code" and it works for me.

I never even thought about it looking just like pics. I changed the name of the thread to indicate videos and edited the first text to say the pics are videos. oops
