Who has pushed BARNES bullets past 800 yards

Ok guys here it is. I want to try Barns bullets in my rifles. I have some 180g MRX and 150g TSX here in the loading room for one of my 30 cal mags.

My question is who has pushed them out real far past 800 yards? I never see anything written about them being pushed real far.

very interesting question. I really would like to hear about this because if the 300 smk's dont work out in my 338 the 265ttsx is my second choice. i know at 600 they are devastating on elk.. cant wait to see what the guys have to say.

i shot the 225ttsx last year from my edge at about 3250 fps. i found them to be just as accurate as SMK's. my gun is only 36" long and less than 9 lbs. so it's not exactly a bench gun and isn't easy to shoot, but the accuracy was good with the barnes bullets. didn't do a lot of experimenting but had good accuracy with them out to 1200. i also shot 3 into milk jugs/magazines at 950 yards. they looked just like the ones shot into the same set-up at 300. 4 peddles mushroomed just like the pictures.

I have used the 180 grain TSX bullet extensively in my 300 win and RUM. I busted a skeet at Fort Blis in 2005 at 1000 meters with the TSX 180 out oif my 300 win. I also killed an Antelope at 777 yards with that bullet dropped in its tracks.

The TTSX 225 grain is my choice in the 338 caliber. The 265 and 285 give up too much velocity and not a high enough BC IMHO. The 225 TTSX at 3250 to 3350 FPS with its .514 BC will kich the 265 and 285 to the curb at 1000 yards

In the 300 win I used, winchester cases, Federal 215m primers, and 81 grains of H-1000. In the Rum I used federal cases, Fedreal 215M primers and 96 to 99.5 grains of Retumbo depending on the batch

i've only worked up loads for 2 ttsx bullets, the 338-225 gr as mentioned and the 308-168 gr. started out at .05 off with both, moved them in and out but ended up back at .05 off on both. when i get my guns shooting about an inch at 300 like jwp is showing on a good day and maybe 2" on a bad day, i quit chasing the magical load and start working a drop chart and practicing. i think a hunting gun that can shoot 1" at 300 is just a very fine piece of equipment.

i can remember the H1000 was too slow and i got ahold of some Norma MRP which is great stuff.can't remember the exact amount cause most of my gun stuff is at my mothers. a divorce thing. low to mid 90's but i'm guessing. i could shoot them 3400 with my 28" barrel but things were better at 3250.

I justed loade them to SAAMI spec lenght and tried them and they shot so well, that I enede any seating depth work
