i was thinking more than that but yall know alot more about things like this than me. thanks guys.

I would think 650 to an individual would be a resonable expectation. I would pay that if I was in the market for one.

i have a VX-3 6.5x20x50 with the target turrets 30 mm tube mildot cross hairs and i gave $790.00 then once the tax was added onto it i believe it came to $829.00 out the door . I have seen them go for as low as $550 to $700.

Hope this helps.

I was selling a Burris signature 4x- 16x at a very low price of 300 bucks and they sent me an offer of 250 bucks. SCREW THEM. The right person will come along and you will get what your scope is worth.
There are a bunch of places to post it to sell it for free.

VX3 appears to be several hundred more from what I've seen compared to the VX III though.

SWFA low-balled you because they have to resell the scope. From what I can find, your scope sells for $850 new. So I would think you could get $650-$700 for it. One thing that always makes a buyer willing to pay is FREE shipping.

In this economy you can expect to deduct 30% off of the new scope price if you want to sell it. It would take some one unfamiliar with scopes, or a friend, to pay $700.00 for your scope as you describe it. Still, as another poster pointed out, if you wait long enough, there will be that one person eventually...
