What wine do you like with game?

Hay guys my Father in Law owns a small Winnery here in the finger lakes of NY and Im just trying to see what kind of wine you like to drink with your game. We are looking for some advertising info. We know what we like but we want to know what you or your Girl likes?

I know, actually I am trying to aquire a taste for Moose Drool. It is locally brewed. But I thought the name was a bit off color for a wine thread..

Wish I could be more help.... Hey! I have found that to make all wines more friendly to the pallet, with any meat, simply add 7up.

LOL is fine im the same way. I used to drink that beer all the time when I lived in Washingtion its great have not had it in 7 years now.

I personally dont know ''jack'' about wine. I actually get a headache just from the smell of most wines. However, my mom likes a red wine with real meat, and a white wine with seafood, or on a hot summer evening on the porch.
My grandma prefers a red wine with any meal.

On the other hand, I know a couple people who like whatever is in the box

I prefer Henery's Private Reserve, or O'Bahn Scotch on the rocks with dinner, and Coors light or 7&7 or Pendelton Whiskey strait up for ''social outings''.

Unfortunately I guess Im not ''refined'' enough to enjoy wine.
I did have some Late Harvest (super high sugar content) from Hyatt Vinniards in Zilla Wa.(real tall skinny bottle. Only about half as much wine as I thought Id get for the price I paid for it...Must be harder to harvest grapes in the winter?) that my wife couldnt finnish. She said it was too sweet. I kinda thought if wine tasted more like that, alot more poeple would drink it. Sorry I couldnt be of much help.

The only wine I've ever really enjoyed was a sparking date wine I had in Malaysia. That stuff was amazing! I guess I'm still too young to appreciate or enjoy wine.

My preference for things like fish or rabbit would be a pinot gris /grigio,barrossa valley semillon or a young harvested merlot,for duck a mature merlot and venison definitely a nice shiraz,we have some amazing wine makers downunder showing a thing or two to the french and italians.

Being young has nothing to do with liking or disliking wine to be honest I hated it until about 5 years ago when I met my wife and she was not a big fan either (she drinks jack strait from the bottle).

But her father has this small place in the Finger lakes and I have been working there summers and have grown quite fond of the stuff. Started out liking the sweet stuff which I guess is what most people do but my tast are evolving.
