I have been unemployed for over a year. I had an interview at Pepsi bottling co. in Phoenix Az. I start on monday, but it is thru a hiring co. I will have a 90 day probationary period, then I will be a permanent Pepsi employee.
I am a Maintenance Technician.
Do any of you guys work for Pepsi cause I don't know anything about benifits or vacation or pay raises. The guy from the technicial co that sent me for the interview doesn't know anything about that stuff.
Just was wondering what I have to look forward to.
Thanks
Tarey

Hey congrats Tarey! I cant imagine how much of a relief it feels to be back in the game so to speak now. I dont work for Pepsi nor do I know of any benifits they have. I just wanted to congratulate you and wish you all the best!

Congratuations Tarey. Not sure about the benefits but have you tried their website? Sometimes you can find "employment opportunities" that will show some of this information. Good luck with your new venture.

Congratulations, Tarey. Being in the layoff situation I'm sure wasn't fun. Glad to hear your employed again...and with Pepsi...pretty neat. Best of luck, I'm sure you'll do great.

Not working sucks, I know. Been a tough winter. Finally back to work myself. Didn't work today because of rain though.

Congrats on the new job.

Steve

Thanks Guys
I took my toolbox there today and found out that the insurance starts on your first day as a Pepsi employee. They have 10 paid holidays and 5 paid sick days and 1 week vacation after 1 year and 2 weeks after 2 yrs.
Anytime you go near the machines you have to wear earplugs and a hair net.
I found out the 12 oz. can line fills 1300 cans a minute, WOW that's fast.
They also fill 20 oz 24 oz and 1 liters
Going to be a new learning experience.
Tarey

Glad to hear you got a job. My Grandfather drove a Pepsi delivery truck for many many years. He's retired now, from what he has told me they were a pretty good company to work for.

Congrats on the new Job Tarey...

I'll trade you a brick of primers for a pallet of pepsi :D Just playin

Glad to hear that you have a new Job and it sounds like it comes with good benefits as well.

Best of luck

BigBuck
