Hey guys, I did a search and only found 1 load for the 140gr Nosler Accubond using RL-19 for my 270WSM. Any body got any load data using RL-19(1st choice) or IMR4831(2nd choice) with this bullet? I consulted my Hornady book, and studied up on the burnrate charts, and I think 61gr of RL-19 would be ok for a starter load, going up in 1/2 gr incriments. But my book only gives data for Hornady bullets.

RL-19 and IMR 4831 are the only 2 powders I have at the moment.
I dont want to do anything stupid, so if you have any data with either of these 2 powders with 140Accubonds, in a 270wsm, Id sure appreciate it.
Thanks

Get off the lands about .030 and load up the min, middle, and max as per the link below with 3 rounds each while using fed 215's(min, middle, and max) and cci's 250(min, middle, and max) and see what happens!!!!

Nosler: bullets, ammunition, rifles, brass, and reloading data.

THANK YOU POPAPI! I very much appreciate that. I drove by Nosler tonight after taking my wife to Red Robin for her birthday dinner, but they were closed.
She started to get onto me for taking her to Bend............and winding up only a couple blocks away from Nosler, but I played it off like a pro..........I hered they were over this way dear, I just wanted to see for myself on our way home....:D.

Ive had great success with Hornady SST's, but I shot 450yds a week ago or so, and out of 24 rounds fired, I only recovered two. The problemb was that both had complete core/jackett seperation! Ive never had this problemb with a bonded bullett, and Nosler is just down the road so.........Accubond it is.....I hope. Ill be thrilled if my rifle likes them as much as it liked the SST.
Thanks again! Now I can load this weekend after church!! Happy Easter early!

I haven't use those powders but the 140 Accubond is a shooter, the only bullet I've gotten to shoot as good is the 140 Berger. My dad refers to it as the Accubomb cause of how hard it hits.

My load for my 270wsm
Winchester cases
Winchester Large Rifle Mag. primer.
67.5grs. of Accurate Arms MagPro powder.
140gr. Nosler Accubond bullet.
It shoots 1/2" group at 100yds. and flat hammers Mule deer.gun)

Ur welcome Win!!!! Happy Easter to you and yours as well, get back with us after you load these dudes up!!!! Mine shot well with the 130 ABond with RL19 with the middle load and fed215GM's and the max load with CCI 250!!!!!!

WinMag, 7mmx 300wsm mountain rifle with 130 X Bullet using RL19. After much testing, my loads and accuracy have shown that 68 gr RL19 is the most useful and accurate load. Primers are Fed large rifle. Have not crono'd the loads. Accuracy is more important than speed. RL17 and IMR 4007 ssc are next on my list in the quest of accuracy and speed. This load was incrementalized .2 of a grain , a slow process in uncharted waters.

Seems to like 62gr of RL-19 with the 140gr Accubonds at 100 yds. 3 shots .3something 5 shots .8something. did OK all the way up to 64gr RL-19 too, but 62gr shined brightest. THANK YOU for the info guys!! I very much appreciate the way folks around here(L/R/H) help eachother out.
OK Ive tried 14 STINKIN TIMES to post the pics from Photobuckett here. AND ITS NOT WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Ill try again later when Im not so aggrevated!

When you get a chance to get some powder try Retumbo, I can get a little more velocity out of Magpro but I can't get the low velocity spreads, I'm single digit with 71gr of Retumbo for 3341FPS on the 140 Accubonds. It's a Deer wacker !!!:D

I'm getting 3300 with 74grs of Magpro producing about 11/4" 3 shot groups at 100 yds. What group sizes are you getting ? I'm not happy with my rifles grouping. Its a Mod 70 Classic. Thinking of installing a Pacnor are Kriger on it.

Don't overlook RL22. I got pretty good accuracy (.3) with it and the 130gn pills. On a whim I tried IMR7828 with the 140gn BT and they shot in the .3's also. Never could get Retumbo to line 'em like I thought it should. JohnnyK.

I was getting about the same but I was running around the 3400fps range, I think if I backed it of a little it might work good but if I wanted to push a 270 bullet below 3200fps I would just shoot a straight 270 win.
I've gotten real good accuracy out of some faster burning powder but the powders that burn in the Retumbo, H1000, 7828 range seem to get the velocity and accuracy. Just a side note I tried R17 every way to Sunday and it sucked till I got down to the 110gr bullets then it all of the sudden it cranked it on!

awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am using 66gr of RL22 with the 150gr Ballistic Tips in my 24" M70 270WSM. I am getting right at 3100FPS. I am also getting MOA out to 300 so far. Haven't shot them further. Also had great luck with 63.5gr of IMR7828SSC in the 270WSM with 150gr Partitions. Those are getting about 3150 and also, MOA so far. 270WSM seems to bite on the heels of the WBY when loaded with the slower powders and heavier bullets. Haven't ran out of powder space with any of the 150's. Scotty
