I need a little help with some starting load data. I just purchased some Sierra 168gr match kings and berger 168 gr vld. I'm looking for a good load for my Remington Sendero 7mm. gun)

I shoot two 7mm rem mags and one i shoot 59 grains of H4350 with 168 berger vlds in a sendero special 24 inch barrel and i get 1/2 moa @ 2900 fps. My other is a custom barreled 700 with 26 inch shilen and i use 69.5 grains H 1000 and I also get 2900 fps with 1/2 moa shooting 168 berger vlds. They took some time to get shooting but these are the best loads i found. these are not starting loads so may want to back off at first.

In my 26" 7mm mag, I use 73gr ADI2217/H1000, federal brass, federal 215 primer and 168 berger just into the lands. Getting 3087 fps, shoots 0.6-0.7" at 100. Taken red deer at 595 and 442 yds with this load.

71.5 Grains of Retumbo with the 168 Berger and a 215 primer shoot very well. Expect Velocity around 3070. I shoot 73 grains Retumbo out of mine at a shade over 3100.

I'm running 70 grains of H1000 with the 168 bergers touching the lands at 2923FPS average thats shooting our of a 26" McGowen and keeping within a inch and 200 yards.

I shot 3 different 5 shot groups with this sendero and the best group was 1.5 moa at 100 yards. That is unacceptable. I have this gun in 22-250 and it shoots the 55gr bergers 1/2 moa all day long. What's the first thing I should check before a get rid of this rifle?

Barrel break-in, floated barrel, and trigger. Bed the stock, and true the action after that. Make sure all your screws and mounts are tight.

I broke in the barrel as per instructions on this website 2 months ago. I replaced the factory trigger with a Jewel and it is unbelievable. As far as bedding goes, I assumed it was already glass bedded. How would I go about trueing the action?

I'm shooting a Ruger M77 MK II 26" 7mm Mag
68.1 gr. of H4831sc, Rem 9.5M Primer, 168 gr. Berger seated .003 off the lands gets me 3014 fps and .5 to .6 groups. This isn't my max load but if you use this work up to it...

That you will have to take to a gunsmith. It requires pulling the barrel off, cutting the bolt face to match the barrel surface. It ain't cheap. Have a smith look at the stock to see if there is any bad pressure points on the action, and maybe do a skim coat. It may need a little relief in some areas.

Before you spend tons of money you might try playing with seating depths especially with the Bergers. My factory 700 was a little fussy with the Bergers. I think I finally settled with a COL of 3.380" with 72 gr of Retumbo and Fed 215's. Good luck!

I'm such a dummy... I didn't even think of that. I was to focused on the rifle. Good catch man. I feel like a chump right now. That will probably fix the problem. I would still make sure the bedding is in good shape.
