Future H.A.T B.C. Test shoot

Good.

RG, I will assume that anything posted under your handle will be you from this point forward. If you need "LV" to speak for you, you may want to reassess participation at all.

You have the opportunity to validate your claims in an impartial public setting. I personally have little to learn about your 265 grain 338 projectile, but would be very happy to enter it, in your behalf, if your attendance is now infeasible. Frankly, I do not think you would be able to haul that bench queen to the firing position in any event.

There are a number of advanced projectiles coming onto the market. Some are suitable for hunting. This event will take place with, or without, you. It does not make any difference to me... it may matter to you however.

The choice is, obviously, your's alone.

What event?
Some where the switch was thrown and some one got off track..

I offered a invite for lookie lous at the HAT test facility where did this other tangent come from? ie las vegas

"Lookie lous"? :)

As both "Light Varmit", and now you, have said... "Reading is fundamental", review the prior thread.

For the benefit of those interested;

Jeff will be posting details soon, probably this evening. Some new PSR submissions will be represented at the meet in conjunction with projectiles from various manufacturers.

We will be gathering data on calibers from 7mm, to 50.

I must be one of the "unwashed masses".

Does this thread say what was speculated a while back, that Ghost is Lightvarmint is James?

Someone help me.

Steve

RG,

I am finished, stay home if you like.

LRH members,

I will need a volunteer to shoot the Henson bullets. He must be willing to;

- Spend at least one day in LV.
- Have reasonable proficiency at 1,000+ meters.
- Bring a 338 rifle with a twist of 1:10" or tighter. (The bullets will be sent to you)
- Be able to calculate BC from drops. (We will also supply corresponding instrument data)
- Report test results at LRH.

PM me if you are interested.

Best,
Noel

Wow this has been an awfull ride, up down, back and forth and side to side.

Thanks Noel for trying to get it back on track. Hopefully it'll stay this away.

Noel, just my 2 cents but, by offering RG to stay at home and testing in Vegas versus testing at the HAT facility with RG involved will only foster more of what we've seen on various post. One of which will be them holding onto their claims and that an offer was extended to attend their testing...no one showed...yadda...yadda. ya. If at all possible I'd meet RG on his terms/location so long as the test is fair and measurable and results can and should be posted to LRH also...this way if the BC's aren't as claimed there's no escaping from the results by RG.

Is there going to be an independant shooting test of these HATS bullets?

YES or NO

Topshot,

Yes, there is going to be independent/public testing of the HAT 265 grain 338, and the results will be posted here.

Chas 1,

I have come to believe that the "yadda, yadda, ya..." phenomena is the HAT sales strategy. This bullet is in the public domain, and therefore available for public evaluation. RG may change his mind, and participate at any point. It would be nice to see him there, but his absence will not change the results.

If you examine RG's criteria, he is proposing absolute control of the range, test protocol, and dissemination of information (all under the oversight of "lightvarmit"). I do not have the time for the nonsense.

Bryan Litz has done his best to objectively analyze these pills, and was smeared in the process. Being a competitor, even an honest one, makes his position difficult. I will leave it to the judgement of LRH members if the Las Vegas meet was fair, and objective.

There is much more going on than a HAT evaluation, and I will simply not be party to the perpetuation of a "who's on first" comedy routine which surfaces every time RG, or LV, starts a thread.

Mr. Henson, again, the door is open to you.

Noel, thanks for responding. I appreciate where your coming from. I knew about RG proposing absolute control of the range...which I didn't see as a deal breaker by itself but test protocol absolutely should be mutually agreed upon by both parties...and if not then I wouldn't attend either. as far as dissemination of information as I mentioned in my post the results good, bad and the ugly should be posted here on LRH. As far as LV oversight forget that crap. If it can't be worked out with RG then I look forward to the results f/Vegas. Again, thanks for responding.

Warning! This thread is more than 14 years ago old.
It's likely that no further discussion is required, in which case we recommend starting a new thread. If however you feel your response is required you can still do so.
