just picked my rifle up wioth the new 1:12 twist 3 groove barrel. i grabbed some winchester 65 gr to break it in but what hand loaded round is best for this setup?

Just curious? Did Dan address a 3 groove in a 22 caliber with you? I have a couple of three grooves that I love but in larger calibers.......Rich.

I don't know for sure because I don't have any .224's myself but I've heard that the three groovers can be hard on bullets of smaller diameter, especially at higher velocities, because the lands are so much wider than say a 6 groove. Hopefully it won't be an issue with yours. Good luck and let us know how it performs......Rich
