Greetings from sunny Florida

Hello. Nice to connect with fellow cap busters. I'm so old I probably have cordite brain. Winchester hired me as a field rep and professional shooter in 1966. I spent my entire working career in the shooting sports industry. My favorite long range rifle is a 30-338 Longthroat built on a 1950 M70 action solidly bedded in a McMillan stock with a med heavy Shaw barrel made by Oly Olsen. I am obviously old school. Great to connect.
Welcome from California

y, those highjinks aren't for me - and I'm one of the few Los Angeles County Fire Dept-certified SSR Divers you'll ever run across (certificate #68) from back in the '70's.

Don I was born and raised in Hawthorne moved to Visalia in 1967 . Love Wyoming hunted there lots of times Hope you are safe and well in the cold weather .
Doing well thanks. Love it here. Came here 37 years in a row before moving here. N/W Wyoming has been spared the bad winter they rest of the state has been getting. I read Buffalo Bill picked Cody to live in because he thought it was protected from bad weather. I believe it. Have seen it many times. Storms coming from west come down and split to north and south. Not protected from the norther"s though. Hope you have been ok with all the rain. I have family and friends in Ca.. They've been fine. Hey, I smell onions 😉👍🏼

☝️this reminds me of another story.

There's a place called "the loop" off the Louisiana coast. My rednekkid self had no idea. My coonass friend said " don't go thru the loop son unless you haul *** the whole way" ( typed in my best Cajun accent).
Almost exactly half way through it, my buddies get wide eyed as they see a navy destroyer gaining on us. And I'm running 60mph. When they shut us down, there were 3 belt fed 50s trained on us. Took pics and did facial recog to rule out terrorists.

Haven't been back to "the loop" since.any years a

So many years ago I driving a cigarette type boat for an older gentleman who wanted to go out for a spin. We running on fumes to get to the fuel dock when the Coasties stopped us for an "safety inspection". While the the old gent was yelling at me to keep going, the 2 M-16's and the lead guy with an MP-5 convinced me to cooperate. I announced to the officer in charge that if we were not allowed to get to the fuel dock (about 600 yards away), they would have to tow us in. As he was thinking about that, the starboard motor shut down. So they did follow us to the fuel dock and conducted their inspection there. But what really amazed me, was that the old gent's boat passed with flying colors. I was sure we get tagged for something, but everything was shipshape.
