How to harden schools.

It's not new, I could list more but I'm not going to. Schools can be hardened to whatever degree the school board wants. But there is one factor that needs to be addressed. Children are expected to be safe at school. So that means schools are supposed to have some degree of protection for the children. Now we could argue on how much. But at a min my opinion is it should be very hard to gain access/ entry into the school. A fence provides some protection. Locked doors that CANNOT be easily breach provides some protection. Locked interior doors provides some protection. Not being able to see into the WHOLE classroom provides some protection. ALL these things slow down the attacker, maybe even stops them from gaining entry. This gives the police time to get to the schools. If these things cannot or will not be provided them the school board and admin needs to answer why. I think there needs to be a movement on why these shooters gained access into the schools. If the shooter can't gain access to the students or staff then the firearm becomes a non issue. And then the students and staff are safer.
Defense in depth. Same as cybersecurity. No single layer can provide total and complete protection; but rather each one, while individually defeatable, slows down the attacker enough to give time to recognize they are there and implement a response.

.

Seems like more than half the time, a student could be the bad guy, with a pistol, already inside the school grounds. It's endless as the imagination, what you'd be up against. Don't ever really see any school organization asking shooting clubs or hunters for ideas of protection from firearms. Can't help these schools with protection ideas, unless they want the help.

Personally I am all in on better hardening of schools and it can be done without turning them into hideous prison like atmosphere. The security technology is readily available if people choose to do so. There is even light and sound technology that can disorient someone.

Lets not forget there were 80+ bombs in Columbine that triggers were built wrong. We have to prevent entry, train people better to recognize situations. Cannot be afraid to hurt someone's feelings to harden schools.

I agree that armed trained staff is a good solution. It's a very hard sell. No one addresses that the staff doesn't need to clear the school, that's a job for the police, maybe security. All the armed staff needs to do is stay with the children and protect them. But like I said it's a hard sell. Making schools harder to enter is pretty easy. Except some argue they don't want the schools to be like prisons.

Does it feel like prison when you go to the bank, court or anywhere there are guards? That we don't want the schools to feel like prison is a ridiculous argument.

In Goliad they have a sign that teachers and or staff is armed. They haven't had any problems and nobody really knows who is armed or not, no prison atmosphere and no mental idiots trying to shoot up the school. These mental idiots aren't stupid they don't go go down to the police station and try and shoot it up.

SIGNS ARE DEFINITELY NOT THE ANSWER!!

Time to stop the media BS. Oh it had two assault rifles. Good luck on shooting 2 at a time!

In less than five years, we've had four people who identify as transsexual committing a mass shooting.

In November of 2018, Snochia Moseley, a man who identified as a woman, wounded three and killed three after opening fire at his place of employment in Aberdeen, Maryland.

In May of 2019, a Colorado woman who identified as male shot up a school, killing one and wounding eight.

In November of 2022, a Colorado man who shot up a gay nightclub, killing five and wounding 18, was identified as transsexual.

On Monday, 28-year-old Audrey Elizabeth Hale, a woman who identified as a man, entered a Nashville Christian elementary school with a firearm. She murdered three adult staffers and three nine-year-old children.

In less than five years, that's four mass shootings committed by people who make up about one-half of one percent of the population. So that works out to around 2.75 mass shootings per million transsexuals over four years.

Suppose the roughly 325 million American heterosexuals committed mass shootings at that rate. In that case, you'd be talking about somewhere around 900 mass shootings over four years, and I'm talking real mass shootings—schools and places of employment—not the BS "mass shootings" fabricated by fake media outlets like CNNLOL.

Gee, maybe de-listing gender dysphoria as a mental illness wasn't such a good idea…?

I'll tell you what else isn't a good idea… The corporate media lying to a mentally unstable group of people about how they are the target of (non-existent hate) groups. Because what happens when you do that is that you get the one-two punch of a group of trans maniacs launching a Trans Day of Vengeance while the corporate (and taxpayer-funded) media tells these same maniacs to purchase firearms.

Trust me; no member of the NRA thinks it's a good idea to arm the mentally ill.

For hundreds of years, no one in America bothered or cared about transsexuals and drag queens. Then THEY chose to wage a political war against us normal people. After nearly two-hundred years of peaceful co-existence, leftist transsexuals and drag queens rose up all at once to target our children for grooming and surgical mutilation; cheat in women's sports; demand access to our daughter's bathrooms, and bully us to join their anti-science delusion with their stupid pronouns.

Then, because we want no part of that madness, suddenly, the same people who left transsexuals alone for 250 years are the enemy… We're transphobes… We're committing "trans genocide,"—which is a hoax

There were 26,031 murders in 2021. The T[rans] D[ay] O[f] V[engeance] people claim 60 murders in 2022 for trans people. 1.6 million people in the United States identify as trans. That works out, I think, to 3.75 murders per 100,000. That is less than half that of the general population.

…and as we are seeing over and over again, when these mentally unstable people don't get their way, their crybaby tantrums can result in outright violence. Worse still, the corporate media encourage and justify this violence by either ignoring it or arguing that it is in some way appropriate.

Listen, the solution to this problem is not the government.

The government only makes things worse…

Pointing out media bias is not going to solve this problem…

The media will never change, duh.

You have to be able to defend yourself and your loved ones. That means arming yourself and ensuring your family does not spend their work and school days in soft targets, like this Christian school in Nashville.

Between Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and these Day of Vengeance lunatics, the media and Democrat party have created their own personal army of violent Brownshirts to terrorize normal people.

This is not a drill.

Everywhere I go, I carry. I moved out of the Democrat-run city of Los Angeles. My doors and windows are alarmed. I have dogs that bark at anything that moves. I don't live in fear. I'm not paranoid. But I'm also not stupid.

Tweets and social media posts will not protect your family from these terrorists.

It is your job to protect your family.

How many school shootings have to occur before parents pull their kids out of these free-fire zones where no one can defend children from mass shooters?

My kids go to private school here in California. They have a gate that gets locked at beginning of school nobody can get in. There is no windows showing class rooms. All class doors are steel with eye peeps and automatically locked from inside. Only way in is phone call from main desk and teacher unlocks door. There are two entrances with gates that get locked armed security guards stand there when kids come to school and go. So far seems like good system.

Sounds like the school did their homework. Many schools that already exist don't have all the options. but they can still be made much more secure. They can have windows coated so you cannot see in. Entry ways can be locked and only opened by staff. Visitors need to be cleared. Armed security is a major plus.

Excellently said! Leftist are the cancer killing modern society, this and every nation in earth. We can clearly see that they are at the root of every problem we have.....so why not start dealing with that and stop simping to them?

Changing the political direction of this country takes time, maybe a generation or two. We don't have that kind of time, nor do I care to waste time on that when there is a solution to saving kids now.
