Hello LR community!
So I need a little help. I have my brother in law's Fierce Edge in a 300 RUM and I've been trying to do load development for him. He wants to shoot 200+ grain pills out of it. The throat on the gun is reamed for it but the detachable magazine is ridiculously limiting on depth seating! I've tried several times to reach out to Fierce to see if they have a solution for switching the detachable magazine to a regular box mag with a drop plate to no avail because they have not returned any of my correspondence. Any suggestions guys and gals?

So I did some more load testing for it today seating it out to where it was more feasible on depth and the groups improved dramatically. Problem is they won't fit in the magazine. Horrible thought process in design on there part

The gun is also 1:9 twist which is also a limiting factor
It should be a 10 twist…

Don't worry about chasing the lands. I shoot 200gr accubonds/retumbo and 215gr bergers/N570 at mag length. I don't even touch my seating die. 3.71 coal. Shoots stupid good with both. Mine is a fury, but it's essentially the same.

This is one of the reasons I went with the NM over LM/RUM/EDGE on my latest .338 NMI build.

That's too bad they are not responding to your queries. What action? Perhaps you can find a reputable gunsmith that can help, i.e., using Wyatt's 4-inch conversion kit or similar. Good luck!

Why is it a limiting factor? Are you using a bullet requiring a faster twist?

So that huge jump works in these guns?
I tried 208 Barnes full copper yesterday. That's the thing too is he has to shoot full copper living down in Northern California. They call for 1:8.5 or faster.

I'm sorry you're having trouble contacting the people who seem to be ignoring your Inquiry. Although I don't have any answers that would resolve your issues but I do have some advice for your future buys. I have learned over the years, do not purchase anything over the net unless the sellers have a Contact telephone number and E mail. You're not alone. Best of luck!
