Looking for recommendations for new binos for the upcoming season. Been running Vortex Diamondback HD 10×42's for a few years and while I think they're great for the price range I'm just looking for something better. I mainly hunt bear, deer and elk in Central Idaho and occasionally western Montana. I could stretch the budget up to $800 but not opposed to something less expensive with good performance. Been considering the Zeiss Conquest and Terra binos or possibly some Razors at the moment. Not really sure what else I'm missing out there. What would y'all recommend?

I'd give the optics guys at GoHunt a call. They will give you honest opinions on units that will work for you with no strings attached. Cody Nelson is very sharp on western hunting glass use.

Optics or Tripod questions?

I should also throw in a vote for Meopta. I've put my Meostar B1s 15x56s, 2017, next to a pair of 2021 Swarovski 15x56 SLCs both on tripods. The only difference I could see was a slight edge blur on the Meoptas, their CA handling was better. The coatings are different so the final image color casts are slightly different. This site sells Meoptas for a great price.

You know how I feel about optics in general. Buy the best you can afford even if you can't afford it.
I was able to find the set of razors that I have as a demo pair. If you are patient you will find a deal. That being said I hunt with a guy who has some vipers and while mine feel a little more "rugged" I can't really tell the difference in the glass. He finds as many deer hiding in the sage as I do.
On the conquest front. The glass is very good but the Bono's themselves are not super durable. A buddy of ours is on his 4th set. I don't know how he keeps breaking them but zeiss sends him a new pair every time so there is that. I would just hate for it to ruin your hunt if you took a spill with them.

Take a look at Maven. Excellent customer service and outstanding glass. I'm extremely happy with mine.
I did see a couple reviews on them with the B2 model being compared to Swaro SLC and Vortex UHD Razors. My new hunting friends have a couple sets of the them and I might have to play with them a bit to see how I like them.
