I use the 131 grain Hammer Hunters in 7-08.
Thank you sir. I too have developed a love for the quarterbore.
Now that we finished our shooting range project I set up my reloading equipment right behind the bench. I can load the rounds up then turn around and test them right away instead of having to take a bunch of test loads to the range. Load work ups are going to be a whole lot easier now and I can't wait to do more after hunting season.

58gr - 3275 fps - bolt lift
58.5gr - 3315 fps - bolt lift and ejector
59gr - 3360 fps - bolt lift and ejector
N555 and N565 both ran out of room in the case before hitting pressure with velocities in the 3000 range with over 60gr of powder. Not really sure where to go from here as the 58gr load shoots ok, still has a touch of heavy bolt lift on some cases with no ejector mark but deer season starts next Saturday so I'm going to run with it.

Rl15 powder (older Hercules lot so back off the loads a good amount)
2.35 OAL on all of the loads
No crimp on all
1x fire used CCI br-2 (43.0 gr and 44.0gr)
1x fire win brass

I think that 90 gr is a good all around bullet for the quarter bore , in a lot of different cartridges, it sure works well, in my 1/8 twist 25/284.I love my quarter bore too, 25STW and the 90gr Absolute Hammer.....

That is THE top load, works good in cold/cooler weather, but NO NO in hot. Stiff bolt lift, and have to wack the bolt with hand to extract fired case.......
