No Sir…I've seen 120gr Sierras (IIRC) pop up at times. I wish there was a 6mm offering. And more cheaper 6 ARC brass to run them in!

You may need to read Esop's Fairy tails because you have no idea how musc work is involved in high volume hog shooting and processing especially in warm weather you have only minutes to gut and cool. When we bought our ranch properties I tried to butcher and process all of the hogs we shot - freezer fills up fast, then I tried giving them away after they were cut up and iced down and not many people are takers after all that work. we now are just selective on the hogs we process and the rest feed coyotes and buzzards.While I can understand that hauling them out might be a pain in the butt, however there are food pantries all over the country that would like to have the meat, some even have agreements with local meat processors to butcher the donations. All you have to do if find out who those processors are and simply drop off the dead animals. Feed people, not coyotes.
I've never seen sierra 120fmj before, but norma has 120's in fmj. On VV's loaing site it shows hornady having an 80gr fmj, but never have seen those either. After I bought the remaining 90gr 24cal sierra fmj's (when in stock) , my next go to was tac-x (defiantly not cheap).
Try some lapua 100gr fmj? With a 20" barrel you could get 2,700fps or more depending on powder.

Indeed that is what happens. I get normal speed out of the hunters but the absolute has a very large jump if you will till rifling contact. That lowers the pressure spike a good amount hence why they seem to get the same Kinda extra speed as Weatherby does.
I honestly don't recall. I've had this gun for almost 10 years.

Placement is the key, we use the 6.5 Grendel a lot with Factory 123 gr AMAX and SST's but also a 6xc with either Hornady 103 ELDX or Berger 105 VLD Hunting- reg 22-250 Rem with 55 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip CT, the real dog in the hunt for bolt guns as are our 22-250 AI with a 1x7 twist- bullets 80 grain Hornady AMAX- Barnes 62 gr TTSX and Barnes 70 grian TSX- I cant wait to get some Hammer bullets to try in all 4 guns. Bullet placement is key, with the 22-250's in either version a chest shot or center neck behind the head is DRT, speed kills- usual distance is under 150 yards but sometimes to 400 plus. Pigs are great for experimenting with bullets.

$70 for a box of 20? Yikes and double yikes for hogs. Target bullets work well and I've taken many hogs with the significantly cheaper target bullets. Don't shoot them in their shielded shoulder and you'll be fine. Varmint bullets I'd avoid for hogs.Here loaded hammers or Barnes either would work with the hammers being much better. I kill over 50 hogs a year with the 99 or 97gr hammer in my grendel

If your goal is to just shoot them yes. But if you are paying per pig which some hints are or after a trophy that $70 is a small price difference. Like stated if you are paying $200 a hog and you hit the shield or shoulder with your target bullet and it runs off now you paid $200 for the hog you didn't get and $25 for bullets that didn't get the job done.
All depends what type of hunting your doing. I shoot a lot of running hogs. So staying off shoulder is not always an option.
Plus To be honest we are in an expensive sport no doubt. You probably don't mind drinking beers at the bar for $3-5 a pop but worried about a 2-3 dollar bullet. It's all how you look at it
It seems that people are quick to think, "Homeless," when food pantries are mentioned. I agree with you on the homeless issue. I see them on street corners begging all the time while a Help Wanted sign is in the background. However there are a lot of people with homes and children to feed that due to Covid have fallen on hard times. Don't make them suffer because of a few worthless beggars.

They should e to be willing to help themselves also.
Yes it can be a bit shameful to go ask for help but that is what a responsible person would do. I've never in my life seen a church turn away someone in need. But they seem to repel the ones not truly in need. If no shame or effort is required then the truly lazy show up.
Then most once they catch that break are truly great full and turn around and help others.
Our system now is so broken your "free" stuff is just handed to them.
Same with donating hogs or wild game. Everyone is in need of its gift wrapped and delivered.
Terri Anne, this spring I will furnish pigs, stand, feeders, instruction, ammo, rifle and optic to anyone struggling to feed their family. I will help teach them the correct spot to anchor a pig, a quick easy method to gut a pig and I will really get involved if their children are along for the ride.
What I will not do, is feed another man's family while he sits around waiting for a handout.
Literally, every restaurant, retail store I drive by has a help wanted sign hanging up in most areas of DFW.

Explosive, varmint style, bullets usually expend all of their energy long before they reach any vitals.
What I will not do, is feed another man's family while he sits around waiting for a handout.

Well it seems that as usual people read whatever they want, twisting words around. I never mentioned feeding some useless thing that calls itself a man who is not willing to go out, find a job and take care of their families. Unfortunately these same useless animals are not hindered from procreating and producing others of their ilk. It is also unfortunate that these same animals usually desert their mates and progeny and go off to do their begging leaving others to take care of them while ignoring the people they left behind. I could go on, but keep in mind that this donated food did not necessarily cost a lot of money to procure, but might be useful in helping out the deserted wives and children of these losers who would beg while standing in front of a Help Wanted Poster. What is better? Feed some people who are down and out, or feed some Coyotes so they can multiply and take over your community or hunting grounds? Shot animals left to lay will feed the coyotes and others you might not necessarily want wandering in your area. Enuf said!!!!
