To the best of my knowledge, Lapua doesn't make belted cases. Of all the manufacturers, Hornady has done the best job of supplying reloaders with components.

True, they stopped producing it in 90/91, from memory. As far as I can remember, they made both 300WM and 300 H&H. Maybe 7mm Rem also? It's been a long time.
I bought mine prior to them announcing that they were stopping production.

we are having the same, if not worse, problem here in australia. The only solution we have found is to buy 100 rounds of loaded ammo, pull the bullets and drop the powder, unless you shoot them up at the range or plinking.
Lately, we have had a good supply of norma unprimed brass, but, any other brands are non-existent. I normally like remington brass, but, the price of ammo is stupid expensive.
I still have 300 pieces of lapua brass from the late 80's, it is by far the best brass i have ever used. A batch of 80 is still going strong at a dozen firings and being annealed every other firing.
I am still on the fence with norma brass, and nosler brass is no good, the batch i have is first run stuff, i'm positive it is federal made, it is heavy, soft and doesn't last 2 firings. The new nosler is identical internally to my norma brass, so the rumours that's made by norma appear to be true.

i bought norma 340 years ago and found the necks crazy out of round. Weatherby brass was really nice. Norma makes weatherby i am told. Its all about specifications and dollars. I use nosler brass in magnums and it worked for up to 7 loadings. Primer pockets go first. Use what works in your gun. It could be the brass teamed up with heat, load and chamber dimensions.

I have always used Winchester Brand brass for my 300 win mag. After case prep I could get 7 plus out of each case. Could only find Hornady so bought some. Worked up load for that brass and getting case cracks and separation above the belt after 3 loadings not pleased. Guess I have to keep using it as that's all I can find. Tried Federal and primer pockets get unusable after 2 loadings.

Midsouth, look for Peterson long 300 win. I'm on 3rd loading no issues. A few years ago I got some win. brass and some of the neck were splitting, brand new brass.????

There's a local vendor in Northern CA. He used to run a small reloading shop till the rent went up all over the SF bay Area. I still get resonable prices from him. I needed some scarce Norma 375 H&H, 300 H&H, 45 colt brass from him. He had it in his garage takes him a couple of days to look for it. Unfortunately, he doesn't do internet. Just phone calls , checks and MO or FTF.

Howdy, Unknown Munitions has 300 win. In norma and ADG. ADG is the best, norma is good brass also.

In my experience Winchester brass is garbage; weak primer pockets and extreme weight variations. Norma is better but not a LOT better.

Peterson and ADG are the cream of the crop. And if you buy Peterson try to get the long version.

I've used WW super-x brass from the late '70s and early '80s in 264wm over 10x and I'm still reloading with the same 200 pieces. Maybe it's just better brass back then.

RWS seams to be the best for me. Petersons long and adg are decent. I haven't been able to find any lapua yet

Can someone shed some lite as to why you cannot find any of these brands of brass in 300 win mag?? Are these three manufacturers no longer producing this reloading componet ? I find it hard to believe that there are that many people reloading that cal. to run the supply out, or is it the hording and fear factor again. I sent Norma a email but they will not respond to my inquirey.
