My new 6 creed build w/ load development

Is the 6mm creed a barrel burner?
Is there a barrel life expectancy?

That depends a lot on how it's shot and how fast. Shooting 105+ weight bullets at 3200fps in PRS style matches will cut your barrel life. That's what a lot of guys did in its early life as matches where different then and it gave the 6 Creed it's barrel burning rep. Guys were burning out barrels in 1000 rounds. Running it at lower velocity will add to barrel life. Keeping it in the 2900-3000 area will bump life up close to 1800-2000 rounds. Barrel life is similar to the .243 when shot the same way.

Berger did all the right things with that 109. It's a great projectile

I find that with most of the Hybrids. The 144 6.5 cal is another good one as is the 30 cal 200.20x. I talked with Berger about the 200.20x and basically all they did was shorten the base of the 215? I believe they said to achieve a excellent bullet for the short mag 30 Cal rounds that are out there. I'm developing a load for my 300WSM now. Just starting but really looking forward to some great results I HOPE. Sorry to ramble and don't want to derail the thread. Real nice rig and even nice work!!

A friend of mine is running a 6 Creedmore for 1000 yd benchrest. He slowed his down to approximately 3040 FPS running a 106 grain EPS bullet and now is presently in the top 9. He ran faster but had consistency issues. He shoots a 10 shot string for record.

Yeah those are nice simple targets. I like having the smaller circle aiming point. The ones I usually use are the ones on Accurate Shooter you can print off. The one at the top left and the one down under load development in the center in red with all the little circles. Just having smaller aiming points is nice.

Jud you have those anywhere online?

No I haven't shared them other than with some shooting buddy's. I designed them so it made it easier to read point of impact shifts and give you a lot of targets on one piece of paper so it was easier to compare results. I couldn't find anything available online or on the shelves, so I just came up with this. I think it works great and is a nice target visually in the scope, but I'm biased haha.
