Peterson brass

I use Peterson brass in a 6.5 cm that I just got a few months ago. It has proven to be very consistent so far. I also use some ADG brass that has proven to be very good also. Good luck!

Thanks for sharing, very good to know. I too have had my eye on Peterson brass for a while. Do the claims hold that it lasts as long as lapua for reload count? I get what your saying about less capacity, but how is it for softness/brittleness? I know in my 243 and 270 I've seen this with federal brass, it's good for consistency and accuracy but it's both softer and less spacious than Winchester, rem, hornady, and ppu.

I have no idea of how long it will hold up. I only used 50 pieces to test once,and haven't tried it again. It is nice brass,and I talked to the tech guy's at Peterson about the issues that I had.
My cases were some of the first ones on the market,and also LRP brass. They didn't make SRP brass when it first came out.

I run Peterson srp in 2 calibers, in my 6.5 creed, I use the same exact charge as I do lapua srp brass. It's very consistent with its weight. It's great brass!

As I stated above,My brass is LRP. I couldn't get within 2 grains of my same powder charge that I shoot with Lapua SRP brass before I was blowing primers out of the Peterson cases.

I'm curious on the capacity of the Peterson brass in 6 Creedmoor SRP. I am also looking at Apha and Lapua. Anyone know how they stack up? What I have seen shows Lapua and Alpha similar with Peterson a bit lower volume and heavier weight.

Have a 26" barreled Savage Axis in 308. Will be using Peterson brass and working my way up from min loads using IMR 4895 and jumps of 0.030 to 0.010. and 140 gr Nosler Custom Comp. Will see how that goes.

I used some Peterson 280AI brass in my 300 Sherman….I considered a 180gr bullet at 3040fps to be smokin' hot, but brass and primers looked ok!

Remember…the 300 Sherman is basically a super improved 30-06!

Just bought 100 6.5 lrp creedmoor brass to try out. Just curious as to results/likes/dislikes with this brass. So far, I havent got all my reloading stuff set up, so I wont have any results for a little while. Been out of the loop for 20 yrs on reloading. Used lapua brass before, but I have a bunch of large rifle primers and lapua, as I'm sure everyone that loads 6.5 creed knows, only offers srp brass for the creed.
Looking forward to reloading again. Always enjoyed the process.

Peterson Cartridge is top notch. I have 500 pieces in 308 Winchester and 250 pieces in 338 Lapua Magnum. Never one issue. Several firings.

Thank God I was smart enough to stock up on the Federal Gold Medal Match large and large magnum. About 10k as I train relentlessly and compete with my handloads.

I use Peterson SRP brass in my custom 260 and it's great. On my 5 firing but I do anneal after each use.
