Looking for other users experience with these bullets. Specifically 7mm 175gr but I would think other calibers may react similarly.
I just re-barreled my 7mag. I have a pile if 175 LRAB as well as some ELDX but way more noslers. Enough to out last the life of the barrel.

My question is what seating depth area do they like? Obviously going to be a little different in my rifle but I would like to know others experience.

If enough people chime in, a common depth area might become apparent.

Mainly looking for a good starting point. As we all know components are hard to come by. Maybe I can save some with the help of the collective

Thanks!

It didn't matter what seating depth I used they wouldn't shoot to my liking in my 6.5 creed. I could get 1 moa but that was best. Now in my 6.5 prc they shot well @ 25 thou off lands .6 moa. With that many in stock I hope they work for you. In Prc I'm using IMR 4955 @ 3030

Yeah, I used em in the previous barrel and they worked well. In that barrel I had them at .060 off. And I do have a lot. 700 and 400 eldx.
I like how they preformed on game. I shot a mtn goat few years back once through the shoulder and once through the chest. Recovered both bullets. Had nice mushroom shape and 60-65% weight retention.
So, hopefully I can get them tuned in

I run 265 ABLR in my 33 Nosler, they shoot .4 MOA. But I haven't shot any game with that rifle yet.

I use 200 AB in my 35 whelen and it folds whitetail.

I use them in 4 calibres, all like a minimum jump of .020", anything closer and it goes to heck.
Currently in my 7STW, the 168g ABLR likes .030" jump. Still testing with the 175's, haven't found a powder or jump it likes. Barrel is at half life already and is just over 12 months old. Re-chambered a new barrel for it today actually.

Cheers.

How many rounds do do you get out of a 7mag barrel? I took mine off at 708 but it was still shooting good. I just wanted a carbon fiber barrel and needed something to get me excited to shoot the 7mag again. It's been too easy to reach for the 6.5 saum the last few years.

I load 129 grain in one 6.5x55 , 142 in another and 168 ablr in Mt 280 ai. I just find the powder charge my rifle likes , start close to the lands and move back 15 thou at a time till I get what I'm looking for. These bullets are very accurate for me and they cause massive wound channels, most game is either drt or a short death dash. I'm a shoulder shooter so Sometimes they exit...most times they don't.

I have .243's, .270's, 30-06's, 308's and have tried the Nosler Accubond Long Range in all of them and am dissatisfied with ABLR performance in all of them. Now the straight Accubonds (AB), not the Long Range version are another story. Found accuracy nodes quickly with them, great accuracy in all the rifles and really good performance on white tail sized game 150yds to 600yds. The 243's and 30-06's are Remingtons, the .270 is a SIG and the .308 is a Tikka. So it is interesting that they all love the straight-up Accubonds and not the Long Range Flavor. I load with H4350, In the 270 I found that the 130gr seldom exited unless the range was 150yds or closer while the 150gr always gives me an exit wound. I found also that the Long Range version responded more noticeably to changes in seating depth than did the regular Accubonds. Good bullets, so I buy up the non-long range version whenever I can and leave the ABLR's on the shelf. Other guys I shoot with swear by the ABLR's.

I did not load for any custom guns with them only factory....real old school factory like Rem, Sav, Win, Rug.....not $2-3000 "factory". Also need to fit easily in the magazine so OAL is what it is. I am not interested in single loading so didnt waste the time or money finding out. To me they hated the 40-60K jump and was lucky to hit 1". I have tried 264/142, 308/150,168, 190 and 284/150,168, 175. Multiple guns in each caliber. Only one a .284/175 ABLR I can get to shoot well at .5" or under...not MOA....inches in a 7STW Sendero with 1K hard rounds down the tube. We have been using Muzzle Loaders on elk so that rifle has not killed anything with them. Sorry. I/we use a lot of the standard AB in multiple calibers with different weights and they shoot/kill extremely well.

I have tried 150 grain ABLR's in two .270's with appropriate barrel twists. Seating depth test was best around .030" but not great. OCW test did not produce acceptable results. I'm moving on to another bullet. I agree standard Accubonds are easier to tune.

Eight years ago I bought a new Ruger Hawkeye Magnum Hunter in 300 WM. We had recently done some home remodeling and my reloading equipment was in storage. I was planning a cow elk hunt a few months out, so I tried several factory loads. Nosler Trophy Grade with 190gr ABLR at 3.34" OAL gave the best groups. Since the Ruger magazine is designed for SAAMI OAL, 3.34" is the practical limit on reloads for this rifle anyway. Although accurate, I didn't like the bullet performance on elk so haven't used ABLR in reloads.
