Couldn't stop thinking about Butterbean

Ok guys, "Judge not lest ye be judged."
Bean, it's ok. Some really special people shoot Creedmores. They are creative and talented and the Good Lord made them that way for a reason. Don't listen to the haters. We love you no matter what and just want you to be happy in your own way. You be you and let that little light shine!

How much velocity would it take to make the Beanmoor interesting to you? I'm sure you could top this:

6.5 Creedmoor – 93 Gr – Polymer Tip Boat Tail – Norma EVOstrike – LEAD FREE – QTY 20

Key Metrics:

  • Caliber: 6.5 Creedmoor
  • Weight: 93 gr
  • Bullet Type: Hollowed Polymer Tip, Boat Tail
  • Muzzle Velocity: 3314 fps
  • Muzzle Energy: 2267 ft.-lb
  • Case: Brass
  • Reloadable: Yes
  • Lead Free: Yes
3314 fps...hmmm, wonder what that would do to a critter? Smallest bullet I've used on deer is 125 grains, so I really wouldn't know. Probably hell on coyotes! Norma claims it suitable for medium game.

The 85g HH will surpass that by a mile or so

So I've got a question, would the true 6.5 Beanmoore be based off the .300 RUM or the .505 Gibbs?

If the 85 Hammer Hunter will surpass 3300 fps by a mile....then, why wouldn't you want to shoot it? How fast does a bullet have to go before you want to shoot it? Mach 4?

Even if you never use your new gift to hunt Grizzly Bear, If you can push a HH way faster than 3300 fps, would you have to turn in your Man Card if you shot a ground hog with it?
