A good gunsmith in Wisconsin

Rodeo

I sure miss Rusk. They had everything you wanted. I've got a gun i want a break put on. If he's interested in doing it let me know or give me his number.
Mee too. i bought a few guns there and virtually all of my reloading supplies. I still have a Winchester Model 70 .308 I bought there many years ago. It's too bad that the elected idiots in Madison decided to ban handgun sales within the city limits. Gander Mountain and The Ammo Box simply moved out of town Rusk decided it was time to call it quits. They are missed.

If you are looking for supurb gunsmiths in Wisconsin, especially if you live in the Southern part of the state you cannot beat America's Gunsmiths in Kenosha. It is a large well equipped shop with several gunsmiths that can do anything and everything building from the trigger guard on up at very reasonable prices. I have had them do several jobs from trigger work, choke tubes into barrels that previously did not have any, reblueing a barrel and the latest install a custom muzzle break on my 300 WM. The workmanship and quality puts most other gunsmiths to shame.
Their ability to do everything in house means a shorter turn around time. https://www.americasgunsmithshop.com/
DEZ Tactical in Baraboo also

Anybody have any gunsmith they recommend for threading barrels and bedding stocks along with trigger work in northeast/ central Wisconsin?

I highly recommend Americas Gunsmith Shop in Kenosha. Call them up and talk to them about your projeclt and get an estimate of the cost. They will send you a box to ship your firearm in an send it back to you at no cost, (Well I'm sure you are paying for it somewhere) They get on your project and get it done without having to wait months like other place. I have used them many times and the quality and pricing of their work is second to none.

I am located in the milwaukee metro area. I am a firearms dealer and gunsmith. The majority of my work is full custom builds with aftermarket actions.

cerakote? cost for bolt gun?
I don't do refinishing as I don't typically work with factory actions, Tikka and Savage being the exception to that rule. I offer some services with R700 factory actions, but not many, there are too many really great online based shops like LRI that I cannot compete with price wise on a full action truing service, so I typically send that type of business their way.

Bolt gun cost can run from mild to wild, endless possibilities. I like to work with Terminus actions when possible, they are a great company with a superior product for the money. Its hard to beat their quality and that 60 degree bolt.

I am not a supporting vendor on this forum and I am new here, I dont want to do anything to break the rules as far as advertising goes. If you want more information you can shoot me an email @ [email protected]

I am a Tikka guy so I build from that platform or use them as is. (with tweaks, of course)
In my opinion they are the best factory actions to start with. They are nicer than some aftermarket actions to be honest.

The only downside is getting them to feed a COAL longer than 3.6 isnt going to happen, you are limited by a 3.715" AICS Magazine. However, they are amazing at the short mag game. 300 wsm, 6.5 PRC, 6.8 Western and so on.
