Best pump gun???

I have to ADDRESS this immediately!
I was called out by a fellow LRH member stating that my post was "Offensive".
I PM trebark and was told that what I said "Beaner" and trebark answer was "It is an offensive term for a person of Mexican origin".
I have no idea what trebark is talking about. Maybe trebark is thinking Mexican people have other names.
Where I come from a "Beaner" is a $100 bill. never heard it referring to a Mexican for money.
It upsets me where someone would say and think that I would say something racist.

Just want to clear this up. If other people refer to Mexicans as "Beaners" shame on them.
Appreciate the clarification. You're a good man. As you have never heard the term used for Mexicans, I have never heard the term used for a $100 bill. The only alternative meaning I've heard for it is a baseball pitcher throwing a pitch at a batter's head is a beaner - meaning he was aiming to hit the guy in the head. https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Beaner

thin skin and all they want is to cry over spilled milk after nursing all day,,tell them to shut up and wipe their chin ,,,it's dripping on my CLEAN FLOORS.... 😝 😝 o_O 🤗 🤗 😝
The attack on me here is just not nice and has no place on this forum. Further, it seems you might be ok with the use of a racist term. Am I mistaken? As Coyote Shadow Tracker said in his response, anyone who would refer to someone with such a term...shame on them.

Does anyone in their right mind think that I Posted this with my friend selling the shotgun for a "Mexican". Look at the context of the sentence!
"Well my friend ran into money issues after having twins and sold the Savage/Stevens without offering it back to me. (Probably sold it for a Beaner)."
This post and a LRH member will be on the ignore list.
The PC Croud is out there.

Your GTG..........

Yes bringing a Post back to life.
My father bought an Ithaca Model 37 Feather Light in 16ga and then bought my mom a Savage/Stevens double 12ga (almost twice the weight). Couldn't figure that out, but 70 years ago. I had that 16ga for many years and shot a lot of rabbits, pheasants. I ended up taking the Double and reblued & refinished the wood about 30 years ago. Had a friend that had his FIL come over from Spain and wanted to hunt birds. He had shot over 3 dozen Elephants in Affrica. Got Jill and I Hooked on Affrica. I sold the Savage Stevens that was totally renovated to my friend for his FIL for $200.00. He kept it here in the US when he went back to Spain. Well my friend ran into money issues after having twins and sold the Savage/Stevens without offering it back to me. (Probably sold it for a Beaner). They moved and never gave us their contact info. Still wanted their friendship, but they were probably disgraced but didn't matter to us.
What a story to add to a 14 year old post.
Yes the model 37 is one of the best "Pump" shotguns.
Amen to the grand Ithaca 37, much preferred in the old days in Saskatchewan over the model 12 Win, when long walks were the order in sharp tail hunting!

I've never had the opportunity to hunt with the Ithaca 37, I'm sure it's sweet if it's anything close to my Ithaca MAG-10 (my go to kill everything shotgun)

That being said, I've have to roll with the old school 870 for pumps.

Ithaca 37 "Sweet Sixteen" Great shotgun and I was brought up on this one for hunting birds and rabbits.

Bringing this Post back up touches a sore spot because I was accused of being a racist when I referred to a $100 bill.
Geez, I didn't even see that this post was almost 2 years old... Wondering how a $100 bill can be racist, but I'll spare you the triggering event. Yeah, my dad had a 16 ga and bought me a 20 ga for my 13th bday because I couldn't decide whether I was left for right handed - the bottom eject was excellent. Still a great gun. Lots of squirrels and rabbits to it's credit, a couple grouse too.

JT, don't you know that the $100 bills are racist, slave owners on the front? Hee Hee!

The Browning BPS is a shore nuff battle tank, and their chokes run on the tight side, they are my favorite in the pumps. Having shot a lot of heavy buckshot at Coyotes, I prefer the BPS over any other pump I have shot.

Ithaca 37s just beat me all to heck with heavy buckshot loads and Duck loads, these shotguns have a LOT of recoil so do the Model 12's.

I preferred the recoil of the Ithaca Auto Mag in 10ga vs the recoil of a Model 37 and the Model 12 as they just beat the hell out of you.
