Glass quality is a subjective perception

I have a Weaver Tactical 3x15x50mm FFP cost me about $800 bucks 5 years ago. Saturday I got to look through a Vortex Razor 4.5x17x56mm . Those scopes go for $2500 +bucks. I was scoping steel rams at 500 yds. I did not see a $1700 dollar better image . But the Vortex did have a Christmas tree type reticle. Just my thoughts.

I dont like vortex razor line IMO. Go look though a swarovski Z6...

I dont like vortex razor line IMO and returned it. My Sighton SIII had better glass. Go look though a swarovski Z6...
 
Those are great scopes. The weaver tacticals didn't get the credit they deserved, that was weavers fault for not updating reticles in my opinion. Rumor was they didn't want to overshadow their sister company Bushnell and their elite series.

Dude…that 6-30x56 they had was amazing…going rate for that thing was $750. I had mine stolen two years ago and can't find them for $750 anymore.
