suppresor wraps

In addition to the Cole-Tac cover, I will also recommend you get their carry bag. That way instead of waiting for cool down so you can put your rifle away in its case, you can spin off the suppressor and put it away in Cole-Tac Carry case so nothing gets burned in your car / truck, or your rifle bag. It's a time saver for me.

Their products are very well made.

I feel like there is a great opportunity for someone to make a suppressor cover out of silicone that sort of rolls on like a condom and costs like $10. A silicone oven mitt costs half that much. Can't figure out why these things are so ridiculously expensive considering what goes into them.

Same reason why the supressors themselves are so ridiculously priced compared to similar items from Europe, it is a high demand product, cost of doing business is likely very high, and people are willing to pay it. Even at a massive profit margin, if your telling me that it costs $500 in parts and labor for a titanium tube with some titanium washers welded into it, your crazy! Ha ha but, they are super awesome, people want them, and they can charge that much for them.

I am talking more about the covers than the actual suppressor. It seems like they could be injection molded heat resistant silicone and that they should cost $5-$10 and come in different diameters to fit over every suppressor out there. I am giving this forum a million dollar idea for free. Would you seriously go to Bed Bath and Beyond an pay $100 for one of those little mats that insulates your counter top from a hot pot? But you are willing to pay $100 for the equivalent item that goes on your suppressor? Makes no sense.

its typically made out of Kevlar which is expensive material. It's rated for 3000 degrees to handle full auto. That's where the cost comes in as well as they are a hand sewn product. That takes time. It's not mass produced.
If your buying a stamp, and a can. Waiting 8 months to take possession. What's another $100 to get it done. That's 3 bucks week while you wait for your approval.

Silicone as you suggest would not prevent mirage which is the primary reason you use a can cover. Secondary is preventing a nasty burn and being able to handle the can without an oven mitt.

High temp silicone has a working temp of about 600°F.
Beyond that, one would need a higher working temp cloth type materials. Probably why it costs quite a bit to make.

I've used Armageddon gear covers and Rauch Precision. I prefer the Armageddon gear. They have a lace in the back that cinches over the shoulder in the rear of suppressor to prevent the cover from sliding forward.
I use the same two.
I have 3 Armageddon Gear High Heat models (Ultra 9, Ultra 7, Dominus).
And 1 Rauch Precision. For the Dominus. I got the high heat version, and the silicone sleeve inside does not slip, plus, there is a single lace in the back that goes behind the suppressor to keep it from slipping as well.
